How does a bitcoin lover like yourself forget to include bitcoin in your sell option or at least ask the buyer payment can be made in Bitcoin? Let it be that he or they are the ones who rejected the offer or don't know how to go about it? It could have really indeed saved you the stress of waiting for months and yet nothing have changed, but then again it has brought about you reminding us again the importance of bitcoin being used to settle payment.

I was going to ask Jet Cash the same question, did he mention to the buyer that they could pay with Bitcoin? There is a chance though that he did and the buyer declined. It was a perfect opportunity to make the sale/trade via Bitcoin, especially for digital goods where the transaction can be paid for and "goods" delivered/handed over in a couple of hours. Nobody else involved other than the exchange potentially if the buyer has to change FIAT to Bitcoin.

I will say not only the international level of trading or buying and selling of goods but also in the National level, though at the National level the government government must be a cryptocurrency friendly one for the seller to add Bitcoin option to his sales. Though before Countries accept Bitcoin in their daily selling and buying of goods, it must starts from the international trading hub.
The National level of using bitcoin to buy things will have the highest impact on the Crypto market and it will move bitcoin to the highest place in the currency trading market. And the transaction fee will reduce well.

Waiting for couple of hours for payment Is ridiculous, I understand how frustrating it is for you waiting all this time for your payment that the sender has already made. Yes of course in cases like this it is always better to use Bitcoin for the transaction, using swift like you did means that there are more than one middle man and I am sure they won't do if for free there should be some charges. Bitcoin is more effective for international deals for your and those buying your service.

In December of last year, I sold a domain name for $4,000. I decided to run it through the Name Silo market place as a form of escrow, and because my bank cannot accept US dollars directly. Payment was to be effected using Swift. It is now the 10th of February, and I have not received payment, and Name Silo seem to be washing their hands of this payment by putting the onus of research onto me. Had I required a Bitcoin payment, then the payment could have been completed in a couple of hours, and not a couple of months. I understand that the Swift system is not a payment service, but simply a messaging system to introduce two banks to each other, and they then effect the payment directly. Neither of the primary banks make international payments in my case, so it requires two intermediate banks to make the international exchange. What a mess. It's no wonder the archaic US banking system is being replaced by most of the financial systems in the world.
Bitcoin is the simple peer to peer payment service, and it bypasses all political interference and currency restrictions. Lets make it more ubiquitous by including it in all payment options for your international sales. After all, it's why Bitcoin was created.
bitcoin is the game changer, considering how long you've been in the forum, you would have already known this, that most of this Banks operate as if they deliberately want to frustrate their customers. Bitcoin would have allowed you have a seedless transaction with those people without having to wait for months before having your cash at hand. Don't be surprised that at the end of the day, this bank will come up with one excuse as to why they cannot continue with the transaction anymore.

Events like these will bring the end of the current banking system, we don't really need to do much. They are doing the hard work for us. The more they delay transactions, ask questions, lock accounts etc... the more they drive people away from banking to... bitcoin.
And people who read your experience now know that it can happen to them as well so they'll try to use bitcoin first when they are selling a domain instead of doing it the painful way.
This is evolution. When enough people do the same thing, banksters won't find a client anymore and they'll get flushed out. It won't happen right away but this is a process set in motion.
The clock is ticking.

What was explained in the OP, with the inclusion of high border to border transactions fees, was one of the reasons most people choose to use/add Bitcoin for most of their online business payment activities. What you said here reminds me of when I experienced almost the same thing around the year 2006, when I wanted to receive a payment from the Maldives, and I had to wait for a week before the payment arrived.

Just to clarify. I've had Bitcoin as a preferred method to accept payments, either nationally or internationally, for over 10 years.
Why then do you have to go through this intermediary processes when you have bitcoin as a payment option for over 10 years?. I used the Name Silo market place for the transaction, and they charged me $300 for the purported service.
$300 as service charge? wow, you really got a lot of money anyways because i don't think that if it was a bitcoin transaction that the transaction fee can get up to $300 for a transaction of $4000. Even the last campaign payments of Rainbet participants took Hhampuz less than $20 for a transaction of over $10,000. I was going to ask Jet Cash the same question, did he mention to the buyer that they could pay with Bitcoin?
Maybe the counterparty doesn't operate in bitcoins? who knows

If it were with Bitcoin, perhaps all this hassle could be overcome because our transactions wouldn't require a third or fourth party to complete a single transaction, everything could be completed so quickly, in just a few minutes.
I don't fully understand how it works, but from your explanation, it seems like Name Silo is making things even more complicated, even though it's their fault for not creating a service that should be so user-friendly --- and coupled with such disgusting banking services, it only makes things worse.
I can't say anything other than I hope this issue is resolved soon and you can receive the payment you're hoping for.

Not why Bitcoin was created just part of why bitcoin was created, there are a lot of reasons why bitcoin was created and what you just mentioned was part of the reason why bitcoin was created and not entirely the reason for bitcoin creation. And yes I agree with you, for us to include bitcoin to all our international sales, because just like you said it helps bypass all political interference and currency restrictions. Thank God for Bitcoin, transactions has really been made easier and very convenient. I always do my international transactions with Bitcoin and when it’s not available when I want to purchase something I don’t get involved.

Mate, the sole reason why bitcoin was created is literally to stand as a peer-to-peer medium of payment to alternate the traditional banking system who stand as intermediaries during transactions but with bitcoin you need no intermediaries. If OP had used bitcoin as means of payment for the domain he sold, he wouldn't have been facing all these challenges. Bitcoin was created as a decentralized payment method of performing transactions directly with the receiver unlike those traditional financial institutions that operates with centralized authority and interfere with people's transactions. Before the idea of using bitcoin for investment, the real idea of Satoshi Nakamoto was just to use it as a means of payment through decentralization.
