It's February 11th 2026 and someone decide to use this much Eth to settle gas ⛽ fee.
Is this a mistake from their end or something else played out?
This probably isn't the first time this has happened, with such a high fee. Is there an error?
Judging from
https://etherscan.io/gastracker, the normal rate is currently around 0.061 gwei. Even if it does rise, it shouldn't be that high. The fee even dropped this low a week ago.
If this is an error, then checking and rechecking before doing or executing anything is crucial to be more cautious. Or, better yet, just try again next time if the fee seems unreasonable.
Most times too, Ethereum and Bitcoin and other chain based coins rises in fee due to network congestion, it does happen but sender be careful when on fee before sending.
Indeed, when a mistake is made alone, we can no longer do anything, only regret, and become a lesson for the future. However, this is a very large amount for me, I'm sure, the regret will really cause stress. And you're right, everything must be considered carefully before doing any transaction, whether it is anything, whether sending ETH, or other coins, whether in certain wallets, or other platforms such as exchanges. Also pay attention to the network used, wallets, amounts, fees, and so on, so that everything is more controlled and safe according to our awareness and knowledge.
