Finally someone is speaking for the youth of India. Up until now we have just been seeing illiterate politicians speaking shit but the tables are turning now.
Raghav Chadha has heard what the youth of India wants and took it to discussion in the parliament. Below are few points which he mentioned in the Parliament.

  • Legalize VDAs as an asset class.
  • 4.8 lakh crores worth of trades has moved offshore.
  • 73% of India's crypto volume has moved to offshore.
  • 180 digital startups related to Crypto have moved their business offshore.
  • We tax Crypto as if it is legal but regulate it as if it were illegal.

He suggests to bring in compliance and regulation in India for crypto trading along with strong AML policies.
Doing this will bring around 15k crores to 30k crores worth tax in India.
Seems like Raghav Chadha is supporting crypto just how Michael Saylor supports bitcoin.

^^ politics is such an easy job when you are in opposition and bar is so low that we go gaga over bare minimum when some politician ( despite opposite track record in reality) speak some sense in the parliament, which should have been normal in functional democracy.

Chadda is in Delhi power circle for a decade and was top 5 powerful person in aap party. During that time all he did was scheming dharna, trying to do hack voting Machine, pick a fight with LG and lobbying with the khalistani in UK and Canada but now he got the enlightenment. Initially he was also super cm in Punjab instead of Bhagwant, what he did there except renaming centre schemes and packaging as his party product.

^^ excatly & Chadda is expert in taking credit for things that goverment was anyway in planning to do in near future , maybe he got a sniff that goverment might finally take some postive steps regarding crypto.

He did the same in gig workers , goverment was anyway were coming with regulation on gig workers ...bro did a full on PR masterclass with that & milk that issue , few days ago he raise the issue of high prices in food court in Airports ..when i look into it found that goverment has already opened Udan Yatri Cafe 2 yrs back with first one in Kolkata.guess what bro anyway took credit for that & spend quite a few bucks in PR through influncers ..just search his name in X & see the post of big incfluncers all signing in same tone.

Anytime he raises an issue, simply look whether government is working or recently announced any schemes related to the issue he has raised but i respect his grind alteast he is not doing what RAGA doing  Grin Grin ..Chadda might be postioning himself as worthy candidate to take over AAP .

All your points are valid and makes sense completely but I still think Raghav Chadha is making the efforts to acknowledge the ground issues of middle class people.
May be it is his way of gaining attention from the public but he is succeeding in that.
He also mentioned using blockchain for storing real estate ownership making it transparent which resonates with my view on the same subject.

Obviously nobody can guarantee whether he will take up those issues and fix it if he was the FM of India but for now he's doing what needs to be done in the parliament.
May be with time he will take up necessary actions and fix real life issues of the youth and middle class and we can only rely on hope for now but the current situation is worse.
We have nothing to lose but hope can take us a long way ahead.

^^ kathni aur karni mein fark hota hai. They had 10 years in Delhi aur yeh log freebies freebies khel rahe they, so sounds weird when they are talking about being pro market on economy policies.

Still, any parliamentarian raising questions on the house floor is good thing as everything goes on the record but most of the times it becomes about scoring brownie points moment, which results in no traction on discussion. Having said that, agar koi parliament committee ke samne policy change karne aur atleast discussion ka proposal bheje toh, we might have some positive outcome even if it's restricted to discussion only and these budget, monsoon sessions will be more productive.

Chadda is rajya sabha member so he could do that, if not then I'd agree with @vivekdhyani1. I'd be more hopeful if parliament committee recommended this or someone from the cabinet starts raising these issues.

Yaar, Blockchain bas buzzword banke reh gaya hai parliament.

This is really great to know that someone in the parliament is now supporting bitcoins. Up until now, all we can see was hatred and opposition, but things might change now. It will still take some time as passing bills in the parliament is not that easy, but we at least have one supporter now who can motivate others and soon we can see some other supporters as well. Eventually, government will re-think about their decision and can uplift the restrictions on bitcoins. This is just going to fuel the growth in our country and majority of people will freely start trading or investing in bitcoins.

I wonder how many people opposed Raghav in the parliament. He surely might have went through some criticism. I want to know how he tackled the situation. I will read more about this first thing when I get some free time.
