It is not clear from your message whether you made a bet or you just thought you made one.

Balance deducted means it was accepted at first. But when it was written in the bet slip as rejected, that means it was accepted first and then later changed to rejected.

What’s strange is that it took minutes before they rejected it. If it was rejected right away, I would’ve known instantly. But since it took some time, it really feels like it was accepted first and only canceled later.

When I place a bet, I always go to the "my bets" section and check if it is displayed there.

It wasn't obvious from the first message, but since you did everything right, there are no more questions. Right now, I only have questions for this bookmaker. It seems they should somehow justify their actions, because they seem very wrong. I hope you'll contact customer support (and have a normal conversation there, not just fight an AI chatbot, haha) and get an answer that you can then share in this thread. I'd be interested to hear the bookmaker's perspective.

I don`t like such situations, but i got few times "cancel". It is normal situation when bookie makes a mistake with odds and he cancel the bet. As for me - i think that it is some kind of cheating from the bookie - if he mistakes and win - he never cancel bets. But we can`t do nothing with it.
If it is rare situation(and as if we see such question - it means that it is first time or about it) - i can recommend to leave this situation in the past and continue gambling. But if it would repeat again and again - i recommend to change bookie.

The thing is, I can accept that they make mistakes sometimes, but they shouldn’t just justify it like that. I’m confident the odds offered were correct, that’s why I was surprised when I saw it marked as rejected.

I’m still not sure what’s really the difference between “rejected” and “canceled,” but my bookie is using “rejected.” I’ve experienced this before in the past, and sometimes I agreed with it because the line really looked wrong. But this time, it looked correct to me.

If they start doing this randomly, then something is clearly wrong. It would’ve been fine with me if the Celtics were already down at that time. But they were up by a good margin and had a big chance of winning and covering the spread, that’s what makes it more frustrating.

I asked chatGPT to understand the difference. Now i can say that "rejected" is if odds was right, but it changed really fast and "cancel" - when the bookie made a mistake.
In your situation it looks like that you made a bet and in few second the bookie changed the odds and returned you the bet.

I don`t sure what would be the best decision. May be it would be right to wait until next such bet before changing the bookie.

This is what irritates me most about the modern world: AI support/bots. In reality, there's no way to resolve the issue, or even just discuss it, because the bot simply leads you through various script branches to the same outcome: your case is closed, good luck. Moreover, there's no way to request an answer from a real person, even if you ask the bot immediately or later during the conversation. I wonder if consumer protection organizations will ever pay attention to this problem, or if a return to the good old days is no longer possible.

Of course not. Definitely, no one will say it was right or reasonable for such to have happened. However, maybe it was a glitch. It flashed to green to show that it was accepted but later declined after you had signed out to which you weren't aware. Perhaps you would've placed another bet immediately if you knew, right?

Now, this is why it's advisable to always (always) take snapshots whenever one is dealing with bets. If you don't have any screenshot to show your bet was initially accepted, I bet you that customer care won't believe you when you report that issue to them. They will say you don't have any legitimate claim. You can't call them out on that. Next time, try taking snapshot of any bet you make.

Honestly, I don’t understand why, seems the line didn’t look wrong, the original line was close to that, and at the time I placed it they weren’t even leading that big yet. So seeing it rejected was really disappointing. There was no clear reason given. I haven’t contacted support yet, I just wanted to post here first and ask if anyone experienced the same thing.

It depends on the platform you are using. If it is a reputable sportsbook that rejected your bet and the amount wasn't that big, I think they have a good reason not to accept it. However, there might be some shady sportsbooks that can be selective and reject bets based on the possible outcome and the amount wagered on the event. So, I am not sure which platform you have used. You should have shared the name of the sportsbook.

I would say, you should contact the support and talk about it to know the reason. However, I believe the decision is final and there is nothing can bring you profit from that rejected bet. But you may know the reason of rejection of your bet.

There are different things that can make a casino to reject a bet. And popular one is the one you bet when the game has started which I had been rejected for that. And another one I know is the staking amount, if the amount is small, they would reject it. But I believed your case might be different. And it will be well known by the casino. You can rebet again to see if they would reject it again. All casinos are not accepting the minimum wage amount, so you have to look like that to bet.
