What simple security habit has helped you avoid mistakes or risky situations?
Was there a moment where one small action made a real difference for you?
IMO, it's generally based on your knowledge, right?
If you have this, awareness is in your mind, and you must be careful in every transaction you make, having a double check or even a triple check just to make sure you will not make a mistake on it.  So if you have knowledge, you will know where people usually people got mistake, and you are aware of it and simply avoid it.

Negligence is one of the problems that we must consider first, which means failing to take reasonable precautions that could lead to loss, theft, or compromise of your Bitcoin.  I suggest creating a security checklist and reviewing it weekly.

I've seen people making mistakes and they are costly ones because once it is called a mistake, then I don't think there is much of benefits we have to get from this than actually missing out on some serious and crucial aspect of an important targets, the better is just to make sure that we avoid any form of making mistake especially in cryptocurrency, because we know that bitcoin transactions and irreversible and we can't afford to make any mistake that could cause us losing our assets without any remedy to recover it back again.

I've learned to be practically patient when surfing the internet and I remain committed to that habit cause it has saved me from simple mistakes that could have been made doing things in a hurry and lack of attention to details.

People are mostly vulnerable and susceptible to helping scammers and hackers in breach their own security when they are in a rush doing anything online. You can hardly notice that there's a change in a specific letter of a domain of a particular website which may have been cloned when you do not develop the culture of double-checking, and verifying the authenticity of the site before keying in your security details login to the site. Many victims has exposed their passwords through this common scams of fake domains.

Reading through this thread of @NotATether, you can simply comprehend what damage that can be prevented by been patience and careful when login on a site or link.
