We have seen how bitcoin lead the crypto market and its price surging high and even reach new peak way back then, so I should say survival is still high regardless if these institutional investors won't be around anymore.

They only increase the popularity and potentials of bitcoin, but they never hold the chances of survival of bitcoin, so even if they are gone, bitcoin will definitely manage to recover and may give us surprising peak prices every time the market allows. The foundation of bitcoin is already well-established so it will never fall easily if ever there are sudden circumstances.

Trust and participation is the actual problem to me. Bitcoin is not only surviving on price, but because people are using it, in the mine, keeping the code. When those who are interested lose interest, such as the retail investors, miners, and the developers, then there will be a problem, as this time security will reduce, there will be no development and the story also will go down. Then the fall in the price will be but a symptom, the quivering of the network foundation will be the underlying issue. But the fact is that the entire group will vanish as a unit. It is extremely hard due to the fact that the Bitcoin community is extremely decentralized and the concept is highly powerful. In my personal opinion, the entrance and exit of institutions lead to short-term fluctuations in prices, however, whether Bitcoin can live or not, it depends on the activity of developers, miners and users, on three of these aspects. Bitcoin is not going to die as long as these three are present.

Bitcoin does not need institutions to survive because it has being surviving since creation till 2024 that bitcoin ETFs joined the bitcoin bandwagon. The only thing is that adoption will be slow since institutions helped to increase the rate of adoption faster because people who are doubting bitcoin will be convinced to invest and have confidence in bitcoin.

This has raised a question in my mind: If these institutions suddenly decides to leave the market, what effect will it have on Bitcoin.
As Donald Trump had once said, "What if anything? What if a bomb drops to our heads right now?". There was once a time when these institutions hadn't joined these markets, yet, may I remind you. And not only had they not joined, but they were systematically spreading propaganda and fear.

The new generation of bitcoiners would not handle the stress and uncertainty of the old generation, and that's why they're naturally the new generation.  Wink
I couldn't agree more, truth that we have forgotten or we are not taking into consideration is that bitcoin was in the beginning and had none of this institutions accepting it and instead of just letting it go they spread false notions about it, just this statement you have made make me happy because yes this current time and generation validates investment from the point of institutional investment, but bitcoin has been good without any involvement of this big players and infact the big investors or institutions have cause more harm to the bitcoin community than good.

I think some of the organization that are going into bitcoin now never think bitcoin will reach this level that will draw the attention of the world, but majority of organizations will be showing interest in bitcoin investment, it surprised me some times when some people think organizations are the ones making bitcoin to be alive today which is a big lie because bitcoin can survive without organization investing in bitcoin,
Big companies are investing in Bitcoin because they want to have a share of the profit investors had been realizing from investing in Bitcoin and this will continue until they are able to make so much profit from their investors.
The price has fallen and their is a reason for that which we don't know why it has to be by this time of the year.

As long institutions are not the reason Bitcoin is living to clear doubt from users minds and it will continue to live to attract government and business men and women that Bitcoin can survive without government involve. It is when Bitcoin began to hit some price that made some governments to test Bitcoin investment with little capital and it has make majority of government to start using Bitcoin.

In as much as I would like to agree with you on that I will also want to let you know that institution has a big influence in bitcoin even though surely bitcoin can still survive without institutional investors, the reason why I believe that the institutions has a big influence in bitcoin is because they make a high demand than ordinary investors, if the institutional investors weren't there the price of bitcoin wouldn't have gone this far because the demand would've been low, you know  the higher the demand the higher the price is likely to be. However bitcoin can still survive without institutional investors rather the demand will be low, and then it's likely to affect the growth.

Institutional adoption by big pocket investors has a tight influence on the Bitcoin market right now, that a single coin movement from one wallet to another may just trigger liquidity in the market and affect the price.
For those who see Bitcoin as a currency or as an asset, understand that Bitcoin is efficient in its delivery, although my fear is that Bitcoin being a decentralized currency is gradually becoming more of a centralized currency and asset than it used to be in times past.
Bitcoin would survive without institutional adoption but would have to struggle to get to an ATH from where it is today.
