That's right. AI is simply a tool and if you use it wisely, you'll become more productive. And vice versa, it all depends on how you treat this AI technology. While saying AI will make people lazy isn't entirely true, it might be more accurate to say that we're oversimplifying everything.
AI is like a tool like a calculator or a washing machine both of which take over tedious tasks so we can focus on other things.Exactly. A calculator can't do everything where calculation is involved and a washing machine won't wash you clothes properly if you put much less washing powder than needed or set the timer on 2 minutes. Those things can help us a lot, but not without our interaction. And with AI it's the same. Unfortunately, some people think that can rely on AI completely and it will do everything for them. That's just wrong. But AI can be a good helper if used properly.
Great example to prove how both of you idiots are wrong, and it proves that AI is cancerous. What has the widespread availability of calculators accomplished? Most children are unable to even do basic math operations without the use of calculators. If we start talking about fractions and percentages they completely get lost, and this is the most basic of the math. So do not give me this shit about "tools" making things better, when it has been proven in many cases that reliance on tools leads to a diminishing of skills. Are you that stupid to believe that people would become better drivers if the cars start driving themselves?

AI will make most people lazier and stupider, there is no doubt in the logic of this consequence -- research has already confirmed it and I have linked some of it.
Those that relied on AI have shown strong diminishing capability in mathematics and writing skills, more will follow soon.
This is a very interesting study and its findings:
Anthropic has published the results (
https://www.anthropic.com/features/81k-interviews) of a large-scale survey of over 80,000 AI users from 159 countries, conducted via the AI-powered built-in interviewer Claude.
Anthropic’s main conclusion is not a “for or against” polarization, but rather that users are already evaluating AI through the lens of their specific tasks, simultaneously reaping the benefits of Claude and independently managing risks.
Are you a mainstream media NPC or what the fuck are you quoting this for? Tobacco seller publishes study that tobacco is the most beneficial thing that you could consume, go ahead and consume it idiot.

Anthropic's whole existence relies on "AI" being a thing, of course they will publish things that sound positive about it. They will not mention how the current versions of AI still have the most basic problems from the earliest days, and you can get even the most advanced model stuck in loops providing stupid advice that does not make sense -- because the models do not have any cognition at all, they are just dumb prediction machines. Snake oil seller publishes the most advanced study that proves that snake oil is existentially vital for survival.
