So obviously it sounds like you have married a new wife ( other activities takings your attention) and so you have lost interest in your first love (gambling). But I'm sure you'll certainly come back to gambling fully after you have tried out all of the rest.
Gambling has a way of entising you and attracting you back to it. You might not be actively involved for at that time but the taughts of your passed wins, fun and all the experiences you had before will make you want to play again, before you know it you find your way around gambling somehow.

A lot of things can make someone lose interest in gambling temporarily and it is not only marrying a new wife or finding a new hobby. Mine is not really losing interest but there is a way I will lose in gambling that will make me to take a break from gambling. How long the break will last depends on when I have the proper mindset to gamble again freely and without anything telling me I have lost too much. There are times I even feel like staying a day or two off gambling not because I lost so much. Everything is done to enable me gamble with a relaxed mindset.

While I don't see any big deal with your approach, I mean it doesn't sound or look off to me, it reminds me of what anyone fighting addiction would do. I don't know if that's your case? I have not try this approach before because I know it will not make me comfortable whenever am losing in the gambling, anything I know that it will not make me happy when am with My family, I don't think I will involve my funds or involve my family members because I know what will happen at the end, since am gambling for fun it will be difficult for me to use amount of funds that will not make me sleep because I know am not gamble for rich like some of my friends that is taking gambling as a place that will make them wealthy, when approaching the gambling make sure you don't borrow funds to gamble because it can cause gamblers not to succeed like other gamblers that involve themselves in such attitude.

This approach will build your mindset towards gambling activity firstly, gambling is not a means of earning or being financially stable instead gambling is a game and should not be taken serious but, we all want to win and it’s difficult controlling emotions when encountering lose reason why self discipline is needed as a guide to bet responsibly. I don't have problem with the amount guys chose to stake with, as long as it is what they can afford then its perfectly fine. staking with a high amount can only be problematic if we fail to bet with what we can afford, Yes I do go with this method sometimes especially when I have enough bankroll but if my bankroll is little, then I will reduce my stake. while some gamblers is used to going big but it is not right for a gambler to keep going big all the time because you don't know how long your lossing streak will last, so I like going big most time while sometimes I go with a little depending on the level of my bankroll.

OP has lost Interest in gambling that's why he is not giving it much attention. Maybe he should consider other activities that might entertain them.

When I don't have the time to spend on gambling,  I might adopt OP's strategy.  When I have the time, I prefer to spend more time on analysis games and placing bets in different football leagues. Sometimes I also want to spread my bets because it's adventurous to follow up your games in different games instead of restricting your bets to a single game.

You can't possibly figure out if luck is with you or not unless you give it a try that is why gambling is purely based on luck because you might be thinking that you will win from your first attempt but when you try you will get opposite of what you are actually expecting. Yeah, as for those who are gambling for fun they may likely walk away after one unsuccessful attempt while profit gamblers may decide to keep going with the hope of wining from thier next bet and that's how they will continue hoping until they exhaust thier bankroll.

I believe every gambler is once at the verge of these feelings of not finding gambling to be fun due to several losses, and stopping gambling for some time is a good thing to do to preserve mental health and gambling psychology because not taking a break from gambling during this moment can lead to addiction and chasing losses.
Meanwhile, what you do during the time you take a break from gambling is what matters the most. I mean, do you analyze the reason for your losses, study it, and look for the needed solution to it, because if not, you'll still repeat the same mistake over again when you start gambling again, which I believe you're already doing based on what you said about not caring about the game result.

You are not gambling for fun, it means that you are only gambling to make profit and you are scared of losing, so why not just quit? Because you are still going to losing even with this approach that you are using, I already know that the terms of gambling is that losses are inevitable, that is why I prefer to gamble with an amount that I can afford to lose. You could also take on the approach of reducing the number of time you gamble in a month, that can reduce your loss, if you are gambling many times in a month, it means you are going to spend more money if you lose most of those bets but if you start gambling just few times in a month with a little fund which you must have allocated for it, that will reduce your amount of lose as well. For example, if you gamble just 10 times a month, you can not compare the amount you will spend to someone that gambled 60 times in that same month.

The main purpose of gambling is for fun. If not, we have overattached monetary value to it, and then there is no point to gamble. When you are no longer getting that fun and entertainment, you already get it from other places. I think it will still take money from you if you don't get lucky in a while. So why the pressure? Something we feel the urge to do that we have promised not to do, and the best way is to stick to what you promise, at first it will be hard, but with time, you can stay without gambling. Because with what you have said so far, it's not going down well with gambling, and you feel it will end in something bad. You have seen the sign. Funny how you are waiting for Wonders. Learn to ignore those urges; you will appreciate it later.

In my case, I don't go down that path. Gambling is entertainment for me, and that's why I only bet on sports for fun. I wager small amounts of money and don't have high expectations of return. What you just described is majorly about setting a difficult stop before even begin, and it is wiser than to chase losses or betting without a stop. Limiting one deposit, one bet, and walking out do reduce time that is exposed to the house edge.

Haven said that, to stake everything at once go increases variance. It secures you from long sessions, yet it equally makes results swing harder.  The larger question is the urge itself. When gambling is not exciting again and you are doing it as a result of habit or tension, that is a signal that is worth paying attention to.

Honestly speaking, that's the best way to go about gambling since you're playing for profit, if you are on winning streak you will get excited to play so you can win more but since you ain't winning as expected that's why you have that weird feeling and tiredness combine with fear of loosing to play, the best form of gambling is sticking to a good Bankroll Management and budgets, that's the only way one can actually control betting habits and minimize addiction.


What most gamblers do is cash out, once they place a bet and the games starts they keep monitoring it and when the potential wins increases beyond the amount they used in staking the bet they immediately cash out for fear of loosing it all and I think that's the method you're using too, I won't lie  I do use this approach too because it helps to recoup little amount of money from the game than loosing everything.

That is somehow a good approach, leaving after all bet is set, keeps you away from the temptation.  It looks like you have formed some kind of barrier that protects you from excessive gambling.  Realizing bad things early is the best way to avoid spending too much and getting hooked to revenge gambling.

It's natural that we go through different phases in life and get joy doing different things at different times, part of the reason we change our feeling on things is the need for variety. If you have been gambling for a while you might just accept the status quo which is generally bleeding your money, often slowly, but getting some form of entertainment out of it. However you can wake up any day and start to count what you've actually spent which might surprise you. It might not even be the money aspect, you might discover something new and more interesting to spend your time on which can displace your urge to bet. Whether you consider gambling as a source of entertainment or not is not a problem if you control it and gamble. If you gamble with a small or within a certain limit, even if you lose, it is not a problem. If you do not see gambling as entertainment the way you are gambling and sometimes stop after using a certain amount, then from my point of view I think it is not bad. When I keep money in gambling, there is a fear of losing, but if that loss occurs, there will be no problem in my financial life. I definitely see gambling in this strategy as a good approach. You should ask yourself first what the purpose of your gambling is. Is it your priority to make money or just to have fun? If you don't enjoy it anymore then you shouldn't force yourself to play. You don't have to worry about it as long as you stick with your bankroll, and set limits as to when you should stop playing. But your idea is not bad at all, especially if you really can't control your gambling behavior.

Your deposit is going to determine if what you’re doing is good or bad, for someone like me who gambles with a very small amount of money, I think this will be a very good strategy for me to reduce my gambling time and also the frequency of the urge should be considered too. If it’s just a once in a while something then it’s safe but if it comes everyday then I don’t think this is really helping anything since you still have to go to your gambling account everyday.

Not spending your time gambling or moving from one game to another is smart but then the amount you use for your single bet and also how frequent you do it would determine whether it’s worth it or not.
