Unless it's huge, exchange trading fee is the last thing I would look at. Because exchanges have one quality that is important and rest is not as important as this one. What we need is security and trust, which means that trust is the most important part and if we can do that then we are going to be fine in any exchange.

For example, is binance the lowest fee out there? Of course not, there are places that offer lower fees, in fact there are places that started with no fee at all, to get more people and even they didn't work. Because binance is trusted and that is something you can't buy with money, and lower fee will not make a place more trustworthy for me, what matters if I feel safe with my money in there.

Fees matter, no doubt — especially if you trade a lot.

Over time even small differences add up, and volume tiers or token discounts can help reduce overall costs.

That said, fees alone don’t tell the whole story. Liquidity and execution often have a bigger impact on actual results. A low maker fee won’t offset slippage if the order book lacks depth.

Depth and execution consistency matter just as much as the listed rates. A venue with slightly higher fees but stable liquidity can often be more cost-efficient in practice.

Security should be a given. Beyond that, it’s about how liquidity, spreads and fees work together under real market conditions.
