Ever since you left I think the board has looked like it doesn’t have any merit source returning back to that will actually help spread merit to that board again because I doubt any source even those placed there have ever shared more merits than you do there.
So it might be good for a return but I tell you, you will still see those generic posts with long post from dozens pages again and it will still be 80% of posters there that you will be seeing their PMs because that’s where more than half of the entire daily forum posts go to sadly due to the nature campaign signatures demand.

if I decided to offer the post history review thing again, I'm not sure I'd be meriting anything in the gambling board. Yes, I dropped a lot of merits there--sometimes wrongly, and boy did I get called out for that via PMs. My issue is that I am not a gambler and thus can't tell if a post is factually true or not. A lot of times when I handed out merits in that board it was for posts made by people who genuinely seemed to be passionate about gambling, with sports betting being the favorite by far.
And you better believe I know that every single one of those members was getting paid by some casino or gambling-related business to post in that section. I did my best. But I also got the strong sense that I was being taken advantage of by alt accounts that had very similar styles of posting and frankly I was just tired of that, combined with my lack of interest in that section in general, and the overall mediocrity of the posts made there.
Those members I gave merits to....I wonder what they did with the sMerits they earned. You think they paid it forward? Not likely. I betcha there are tons of members (not only in the gambling section) who are just hoarding sMerits--and that fucking sucks for the system overall.
