I have seen many cases where people are being judged by their past then i keep wondering why the memory of the past affects the present so much that people don't seem to see your impact and no matter what you do, they will always make references from your past. Someone who has a past record of criminal activity will always be referenced to that act in the future even when there are clear changes in them. Again, there are people who have made derogatory comments about someone or something in the past, but when they support that person or that thing in the future, but people will go back to dig their past.
Does it mean that our past lifestyle and activities matters more than our present or it's just a gender-based narrative?
Should we also continue living in the experiences of the past?
It's real matters, that's why you have to be careful with the lifestyle you live together, because your today will determine your future. If you plan well today, you will rip well tomorrow, but if you live bad today, it will surely affect your tomorrow.
Especially in marriage, if in your past your well living an wayward lifestyle smoking and doing dirty things then tomorrow you expect your husband or wife not to judge your past. In marriage parents will do a research on your background and family to know if you're suit for their son or daughter. Your past Matters to me, make I no go marry girl wey don sound gbim.
