Your are right the reality of market conditions and its true that many tools are used for increasing visibility and obviously its a very cost effective marketing strategy and many software used for that purpose like Airbnb. If we see hotels according to bussines point of view then its depends on location and long term strategy. Many investors are able for a large risk assessments but most of them prefer partnerships for investing. But if we think in other way then office buildings and rental buildings plane is much more productive and risk free. For hotel a high qualified staff accurate chef products and consistency is required which is difficult task for new comers. And rental buildings just give you cash back early on after investment. So the learning point is that hotel bussiness no doubt a profit able business but its hard to manage as compared to rental buildings.

I literally don't find it reasonable why comparing a hotel to an Airbnb because they may serve similar purpose but does not compete in their service provisions except you are recommending it for tourists for cost rate sake but in the aspects of businesses, it is a no go area to be compared because hotel will always be the best either in profitability as a business owner or for the conveniences of guests while Airbnb can only be recommended to save expenses.

To make it clearer, It is not compulsory that you must build a hotel if you must venture in a hiring or accommodation resources, you can either hire the structure (already built) or lease the land and build if you can not afford to buy or build it.

It seems like you're about 10 years late to the realization that Airbnb exists, because people have been using this for over a decade but this seems like a shock new discovery for you? There is actually more of a backlash going on against Airbnb right now because it's making it difficult to live in certain cities where property is getting sucked up and charging vast amounts by industrial scale landlord operations. Many cities are now charging additional taxes on these properties which pushes them closer to hotel prices, but without lots of expected amenities.

I like to check in more with airbnb because they're cheaper. I used to compare the rates of the airbnb rooms than of the hotels. Sounds cool but consider yourself as the one that wants to rent a space for the night would you rather rent an airbnb than getting a good hotel? the answer is a straight forward NO to getting a persons space as an alternative to renting an hotel. people lodge in a hotel for several reasons and to an extent, the higher the population of the people that stays in the hotel, the easiest it is for there to be trust and comfort of the one that books the hotel.

If you are looking at a source of business that is not an hotel, you can always look out for something else that fits your financial statement pending the time you become financially buoyant to go into owning an hotel. there is a lot of business out there that starters can get into without investing too much m0ney into it and an hotel business is more of a business that is done by people that are already well established.

More money, more profit same goes with the loss but the loss can be a bit higher because the guests can cause structural damage, especially if they have kids haha, because they don't rest until they break something, especially boys and I am not criticizing. The structural damage, the cleaning cost after the guests are gone or the reviews they can leave even if you done everything right their bad review can cause you some loss, etc.

I recommend the host does all the work by himself. It's too much to pay an expensive fee to the app platform, besides the wage of the cleaner, while also keeping some funds for maintenance. In the end, there is nothing left as profit, or too little money left. And if the host tries to raise the costs too much, it's a dangerous move, because if staying on Airbnb is the same price as the hotel, the guest will simply go to the hotel for status reason.

If the host is committed in working professionaly through Airbnb, cutting expenses and working hard, it can be a very rewarding business model. Probably one of the best things people can do nowadays for a living.

Starting up a hotel isn't an easy task basically when you got better taste and your expectations ain't matching up with your expectations, this is a more reason most people tend to rent and go on a lease for some years whilst they start up small and watch their growth overtime. But in the basis of comparison either of them that feels comfortable would be the one going for a pick so either a hotel or Airbnb are cool if you ask me based on the individual pocket size.
