I propose that Bitcoin is a worthless asset. Please show why I am correct.

When you take a critical look about Bitcoin, it is really true in what OP is saying, it is worthless because bitcoin is volatile without fixed price which is really affecting alot of investors now .

For example, those investors that bought bitcoin when the price was $100 - $120 has lost all they have invested as at that time and will be discouraged and disappointed in bitcoin that it is a failed investment.

How can you just create limited quantity of 21 million of bitcoin and expect everyone to be fighting to get it after knowing it worth in the lives of various individuals and countries it is very annoying since it is not even for ever but limited time, how do you expect lovers of  bitcoinners/countries  to survive when it is no more, to go back to their old way of economy inflation and hardship.

These are reasons why I will never invest in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin mining is not profitable.
Bitcoin mining makes people sick too, and unhealthy to run in a environment or community.
The heat generated from Asic miners populates the air and corrupt the water nearby.

Bitcoin is use for funding terrorism around the Globe, this is one of the reasons why China don't want to have anything to do with Bitcoin.
With your Bitcoin address only, people/criminals will trace you to your home and attack you.
Satoshi Nakamoto is a criminal and a pedo who created a innovation that hides his criminal activities like money laundering and trafficking too.

I always see this narrative.

Bitcoin is scam and its just another ponzi schemes created by criminal groups people should not invest on it because eventually later on or in future the value will go zero.

I've talked to my friends and they say the same things about it why it's a worthless asset. First, they think that it's an illegal money, an internet money that's being used in the deep web until now and yet, ignore the fact that it's massively adopted by the masses. Lastly, they think it's worthless because they're too late and only the early adopters are the ones that will get all the advantage. They're negative in it and that's why losing hope by thinking of those situations and they'll never able to catch up.

The only thing inside my head is Bitcoin is scam. You buying Bitcoin in any price then the price down and makes you panic and sell it. Who makes money? Exchanges and other people who gets your money because you sell in panic.

Bitcoin tricks you and playing with the price until you can't realize how to make a profit from Bitcoin. People tired and when they stress, they will sell Bitcoin desperately.

Initially when I came across the topic I was wondering what’s this person talking about, is he for real!! But after a deep thought I come to realize that there’s a bit of sense in it. And yes because nothing is really guaranteed In bitcoin makes it looks worthless, you can’t tell what the future of your investment will look like in the next years to come., you  are accumulating and holding but you don’t really know if you will be in profit tomorrow and you can just wake up one morning only to find out that you are in a big loss and there’s nothing you could do about it

It's very critical to think about why investors believe bitcoin could stand the test of time. Bitcoin success is a mere product of public speculative views, the sentiment and rumors - news game. When everyone comes to ask why he has to make gains when in reality, no work is done, then bitcoin could crumble below imagination. How would you invest in what you have no control over, that gut!!! Just a minute of agreement and bitcoin will loose its power in decentralisation. I won't be surprised seeing a coin so valueless that no one would want to have a buck. If 2 pieces of pizza sells for 10,000 bitcoin again, then yes Laszlo Hanyecz saw that vision in the worthlessness of bitcoin. Wake me up if bitcoin is not a Ponzi!

Many consider Bitcoin to be worthless because, despite it being around for more than a decades everyday adoption is still limited, most of us here  are holding Bitcoin for speculation rather than daily transactions. Bitcoin main use case as it stands now is buy and hope price goes up in other for you make profit, making those who are criticising Bitcoin to question it fundamental value.

Furthermore, Bitcoin is considered worthless because of regulatory risk. Government can easily restrict exchanges, impose heavy taxation and also limit banking access. You put me in a difficult position here, but I can still think of some things.

The truth: Bitcoin lacks the real value in terms of Intrinsicality, which gives the true sense of natural output value and transactional cash flow, like business, labour, operation outputs etc, and those true productive assets. Also the major reason I've always argued that no country should rely on a Bitcoin as a reserve is Volatility. For instance, it's scary for a country to have $350B in reserve in 2025, only to get there in 2027 and see $70B. This will certainly affect their economic policies and it exposes Bitcoin's worthlessness.

Lastly, Bitcoin is never backed by any physical asset, as people's money is not a "guarantee," which further exposes the worthlessness.

Without the internet I can’t have access to bitcoin and that is a big red flag, and for the fact that Gold can be access anytime it makes it more better than Bitcoin and makes Bitcoin very worthless.
Bitcoin volatility can make you lose all your money, and because of that Bitcoin volatility I can’t trust bitcoin, and for Bitcoin to reduce my money it is worthless and shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Indeed Bitcoin is worthless since it's existences within a short period of time but wants investors to invest for a long term before they can be profitable, but yet does not want investor to invest in short term.

From my understanding Bitcoin is only in existence for only few number of persons not for everyone if not they number of supply would be far above 21 million, we are being used as a field of experiment which will be not recognized

I agree that Bitcoin is worthless, because without the internet Bitcoin won't exist, and people can't access it, Bitcoin has nothing that back it when its comes to physical appearance , and the government doesn't back Bitcoin either, like they do in Naira or Dollar,  many people sees Bitcoin value base on believe only, when they don't buy Bitcoin the price falls,  which has made many to loss their life savings, so I can argue that Bitcoin is worthless because it produce zero income and also because government can restrict it.

It's deem worthless when quantum computing comes into play and it's just around the corner. And yeah, I haven't used t even for some grocery shopping considering the moment a spike of price, the thing I'm about to buy isn't attainable already and the fees, it's still like using a middleman when it fact they said it should have been eliminated. At this point it will be the tulip mania second episode. And one more thing, when tax comes it's a real headache for tax reporting.

Yes bitcoin is worthless due to the fact that even if you have tons of bitcoins stash with you and you travel to some places where it is not generally accepted as a means of payment or legal tender and you really want to get something from there that could probably save a life, and it happens that you don’t have any means of getting their local currency, you will find it difficult to exchange with them and at such rendering your bitcoins powerless and useless. It’s worthless because not everywhere you can make use of your bitcoins even though you have thousands of them.
