Is weekend trading good?

Traditional market will close for 2 hours daily while it will not be opened throughout the weekend. Is it not a good thing?

The reason I asked is because some people are day traders but they supposed to have time to rest. What if they are becoming addicted to trading, as the market is not closing, it may significantly have bad effect on their health.

But this can not change anything, the best is that we should avoid trading addition. We should not open position or trade in the night. But I think the traditional way is better as people will not be able to trade during weekends when people supposed to be having fun.

I am not referring to spot market or convert because that should be opened 24/7 bit I am talking about the derivative trading where most traders are concentrating on.

Trading on weekends has never been my thing because the market largely stay on consolidation from Friday evening to Sunday night, so I don't see it as the best time to trade, considering the strategy I always use. If it is those that use the scalp strategy to trade, it's not that bad to trade during weekends, but the rest of other strategies is not that encouraging during weekends.

As we all know, the crypto market is always open 24/7, so it has no break like the forex market, that is why I think it's not necessary to try to force a break on those that are already addicted to trading, because they will always turns to the crypto market once the forex market has closed for the day or during weekends.

I do always swing trade and spot trade of course and my trading time frame is around 4H to 1D trading and my personal answer here is No because the market are less volatile on that day instututions and trader are currently on rest and only few business are active in that time frame so if you wanted to have a confirmation ideal to check the market roughly Monday morning and monday afternoon these are the times that the market is active tho its up to you if you already have a set up but for me I need a confirmation signal and a weekday trade before to make a position because weekend are always the lazy day to the space.

 I don't normally trade on weekend days; I use them to rest, and secondly, markets are not as volatile as during the weekdays except on a few occasions. Maybe a sudden event happens that causes either panic in the market or good news that breaks during the weekend, and you see retail traders trying to position themselves or take advantage of that news before the normal traditional Forex and the stock market open. However, even as the crypto market is open 24/7, that doesn't necessarily mean we should be trading every day, as it is not good for your mental health as well as your trading habits.

I can't monitor the market much from Monday to Friday because I'm busy with work. I usually start trading from Saturday night to Monday night, but I don't do it for daily trading. I just analyze a few coins or trading pairs that I think are good enough for me to enter. For example, I buy coin A on Sunday and set my take profit and stop loss from the start. And that usually leads to profits a few days later. I have a friend who also trades only on weekends. But he's a day trader. And well, it seems to be working well for him.

It depends on everyone's mentality, how you feel most comfortable doing something depends on you and you should do everything according to your convenience. Isn't it because of the volatility that we can look for profits at the weekend, and on average the weekend always experiences a decline, but before that we need to see the confirmation first on the daily, 4 hour and weekly charts to do daily trading in my opinion or sooner than that because it is usually very useful to see some probability conformations on a candle.
I also need to see confirmation to make a trade because it is very important than making a decision without a clear goal of what we are analyzing.

It's not an easy task, and it requires a lot of hard work but at the end of the day we can make it work if we try really hard. I personally do as much as possible and for that reason I handle with this situation a lot but still fail sometimes, it is only human to fail at times but as long as you are careful then you are going to be doing fine and it will not matter that much. It certainly affects the health if you open position or trade at night. I know people who opened position at night and stayed awake all night. It did create some health issues. So, one has to be selective when to trade and when not to. Experienced traders don't always trade they wait for the right time to open position. Trading is also addiction. People often get carried away.

I open trades at night, but not on weekends. That’s because I might not have much time on busy weekdays with routines. So I only trade in the afternoon or in the evening when I have time.

I mostly use weekends for making sports bets and spending time with family.

Trading addiction has got a lot to do with the habit and personality of the Trader, this is why we always emphasise the importance of cultivating discipline as trader because you will need it, the crypto market is been transacted everyday and will not stop because of some Traders who refuse to be discipline and probably get addicted, the Traders are expected to schedule the time they dim fit for them to trade and will not find it challenging and trade within those hours and not having to really make it look like it should be blamed on the market for been opened till that time.

If you are doing nothing on the weekends, you can open positions and watch over your market, if have free time also or your mental health is chocked up, you also need to go outings for renewal.
I can't push anyone or anybody to consider opening market on weekends just for milking more money, if you find it convenient, proceed, if you isn't, pause, relax and clear up the head.

This advise is for the newbie, older traders are experienced, they know what to do the right time.

Since the market won't close for you, you have to close the market for yourself. This means Dont get too greedy or overtrade and this is bad for our health. Tho I saw people who trade TradFi in monday-friday and trade crypto for fun. well because he's a full-time trader.

Seeking knowledge and improving your skills in the craft should be your goal, and telling yourself the truth as you are doing now is a lot better than what most traders are doing, whereby they will claim to know how, but still trade the market blindly.
The reason you want to trade is another factor why you are likely going to lose money in trading because me in particular only trade when I spot an opportunity, not when I have free time or more money.

Only analyzes will be required to trade and if managed properly, one can succeed in trading.

If you can trade futures or derivative market, then you can equally trade the forex market, because all trading chart behaves the same, and they all have rules they follows, with few exceptions. So as long as you can read the candle stick very well in the crypto market, you can also do that in the forex market.

I still think that it is not "that" much of a big difference, while I understand that it has more volume on some weekends, which allows for more movements, it is not guaranteed and you do not end up seeing a good reason for it. I get that it may not be a definitive thing, so people are taking a risk, and it's a small risk so they can still continue to do it and there is nothing wrong with this. But that doesn't change the fact that we are talking about weekends as if it's a big thing, it is not and it is ordinary and in most cases it doesn't really matter that much.

I can see most of weekends have higher volume, because people are trading more when they have the time, but that doesn't mean anything about making more profit or not.
