When mining BTC the only pc needed is for accessing the web GUI for the ASIC-based miner interface or to run a node.
Even a $100 USB stick miner pulling 15w delivers 1THs. Using CPU/GPU is of course *possible* but even the rig you described is hopelessy outclassed by that little stick.
For non sha256 coins ja, the more pc based horsepower the better. It was your emphasis on altcoins hardware that had the mods move the thread here.
I also don't understand the author of this post. A computer is useless for Bitcoin mining, and solo pools offer the opportunity to buy an ASIC or other home device for solo mining.
If you don't trust solo pools, you can even start your own pool. But very few people win this lottery.
A USB is not fast enough.
The only need for a USB key in this scenario is to install the dappnode.
The dappnode is a core node. It downloads and sync blockchain transactions.
The mining of the core node creates a second source of income.
The actual processing of the block is done on the hashing unit
The hashing unit can be setup to catch a block sent from the core node to SOLO mine the block
The fact that there is so called alternative crypto has nothing to do with the core functions of bitcoin which I was trying to explain but you guys interjected and assimilate an argument.
My point it if you have a core node you can mine the bitcoin block with any kind of hashing unit.
The dappnode which holds the blockchain bitcoin core node can be connected with a solo hashing unit to connect when the block is found in a solo pool.
You need fast ssd to load the blocks in the core node and you cannot use a USB load the node.
You can use a USB to hash the block however, asic and fpga hashing unit like an cmp etc. Can offload the verifications once you find the core node hit a block.
By setting the wallet custom rpc to direct the hashing units block reward to a local wallet syncing with the dappnode.
I am not even making this up.
You can already connect to etc core node and then setup a hashing unit to listen to the synced blocks when it hits you get the block rewards
Edit: in fact you will notice if done properly, the syncing of the core node and connecting a hashing unit to mine is two different things and that's why it conserves power because the hashing of the core node block when hit only consumes power when the block it found while syncing the core node also generates a core node reward for securing the blockchain.
I think the problem isn't that im not explaining it, I think the problem is you guys aren't actually trying and then telling me or asking for input.
You simply disagree and make it a priority to object.
Am I right, or have you got some info or trials explaining that im wrong?
Because im about ready to get frank with you.
I don't need to explain anything if this is how you guys react to some things you don't agree with.
