Why is it that low rank member are restricted from embedding images.

It's not discrimination. It was disabled many years ago for newbies because people were registering new accounts and abusing the feature to embed gay porn or something like that, which was against the rules, if I understand correctly.

I don't like embedded images. They usually clutter up the discussion without much benefit. This is especially true of signature images: they take up more screen space than a few paragraphs, but they provide almost no value.

Just pay to lift the restrictions or get your account ranked up to be able to be able to post an image.

Anyone who runs a forum or websites like this wouldn't want that so, I guess it's natural that it will be restricted since it's not allowed. I don't know why OP bother to complain when a newbie can pay to lift the restrictions or just ranked up to be able to embed images in a post. If not, then can ask someone to make it show by quoting the post or whatever way they want.

You are possibly day dreaming if you think or believe that we are all equal in this forum, check your forum rank, what does it say? It says you are a newbie, how does a newbie equal to the user who's forum Rank is legendary or even a senior member?

All started on this forum as Brand new members and here, then moved to being a Newbie after they made their first post?

As a newbie, all you need is just earn 1 merit and reach the required activity to become a junior member and you can start posting images as much as you want, this is very easy, and I mean extremely easy to achieve, or you can better still buy a copper member badge to be able to post images as a newbie.

You’re absolutely right, there are individuals that will always misuse opportunities they have been given but I must say that there is nothing discriminating about the fact that new members can’t upload a picture when trying to pass opportunities, there are rules and regulations that govern places and it should be accepted, without rules and regulations a community wouldn’t be a better place.

When I was a newbies when I newly joined this forum, there was when I wanted to pass out some information I couldn’t pass informations that I find necessary, because I couldn’t upload some pictures, but I didn’t think it was discriminatory in any ways, sometimes I find it difficult to understand how some humans process their thoughts.

Equal rights is good if there's no lawlessness. Have you thought of what the forum encountered before taking this measure, instead of selfishly thinking this way, simply because you didn't have your way? The forum wasn't like this before, and it must curtail abusers.

This is where you are wrong. You can still post your image in form a link that's viewable by everyone.

I'm pretty sure Newbies can post images as much as they want right from the beginning, I don't believe that they're not allowed or blocked to use the [img]...[/img] BBcode tags for images. Don't want to create a new account just to verify it. Hey OP, this is post #26, no response from you since you created this thread. Now do me a favour: confirm that you can use [img]...[/img] BBcode tags! Have you already abandoned your topic?

Yes, their images will only show as links first as long as they haven't reached Jr. Member rank, but once they're Jr. Member all embedded pictures will be displayed and visible as such.

So, no Newbie should hesitate to use [img]...[/img] BBcode tags for images right from the very start of their journey in this forum.

Please, post pictures wisely and scale their size to a non-annoying amount. It's not rocket science exactly.

If all newbie accounts were allowed to post images and they had nefarious intentions, it would compound the spamming situation with elongated posts. Having said that, you can post a link to the image and it will be visible but the image will not. If a different member with appropriate rank quotes the link, the image will appear.

If you want to do it all by yourself, you can purchase a copper membership.

Keeping that aside, if you have no interest in following up the very same thread you created then it demonstrates you cannot be taken seriously. What was the urgent need for you to create this thread to express your frustration and then for you to leave it?
