Altcoins that drops drastically should be avoided, because you can’t control the volatility nature of cryptocurrencies which is why you should be careful how you invest in some altcoins you can approach altcoins that are associated with stable coins, most of the altcoins depends on bitcoin to thrive, but most times I would appreciate buying and holding bitcoin, because I can’t imagine holding altcoins.

Holding altcoins would be too much of a risk involved, I can only buy altcoins for short term investment and I would appreciate buying bitcoin for a long term investment.
If an altcoin is swinging a lot, I see it as a risk sign. Many alts dump hard because they have low liquidity and are driven by hype, so one big sell can crash the price. If I ever buy an alt, I check if it has real volume and real use, not just community hype. Most of the time I prefer holding bitcoin long term. If I touch alts, its only small money and short term, because many dont recover after a big drop.

If an altcoins has a low liquidity, there will be a shift in it price and it will be having an lower high frequently than having a higher low. This progression in price of of the altcoin shows weakness and possible downfall, this is a reason to know if the liquidity of an altcoins is pretty okay to invest looking at other factors that could make you to invest in such project. If you as a investor do not look at all these factors that are important for you to make profits from altcoins holdings, the possiblity of losing money will be there ans you could lose more than you have ever invested in the altcoin.
