I was able to activate mine yesterday and got my free 25 spin and was able to win $11


But the problem is that, the money was not credited anywhere, so at this point I honestly do not know if the bonus winnings were meant to be withdrawable or even meant to play games with or if the promo was just some kind of test run or demo balance. I even went to their X handle and it's looking like people there are also complaining about the same thing, I just hope that the Vega team can explain how the promo was actually supposed to work so users are not left confused.

Only a very large amount of bets is required for wagering. Maybe I misunderstood the wagering condition? Unlocking occurs according to the formula: bet*1%*5% - this corresponds to x2000. Or is it the total amount of bets, regardless of the win/loss? That's most likely the case. Although I'm more used to the usual wagering system.

I believe you got it now. This wagering system is distinctive from the typical bonus requirements which players are accustomed to.
