Well, tourism is now canceled. The tourism industry can only exist in peacetime. During the war, refugees appeared instead of tourists. There are also very rich refugees, as they are now in the Emirates. Meanwhile, a huge number of people are unable to leave the region, trapped as they are.
Workers from different countries who work in the middle east are now being returned home because they do not want the citizens of their countries to be part of the war. But they can't go home because of restrictions. It is not just the tourists that are affected but most especially the workers.

Due to the strikes against Iran, neighboring countries in the region are also affected. Flights are cancelled going to the middle east. Those going for vacation surely will have second thoughts and will opt to reschedule instead for safety. Those going to middle east for work now also can't go. Multiple events like sport events are being reconsidered. The middle east simply isn't just a hub for oil. It is also a central point for tourism and with this chaos ensuring, this will leave a lasting impact.

But just to put it into perspective, some airports in the middle east have been closed. This becomes a problem since major airlines that uses countries in middle east as layovers can no longer do so.

Quote

Above all, the safety of the civilians living in the middle east are the most important. Let us all pray for their safety.

It's quite a difficult situation for many people currently in the middle east region.
Yes, many people are trapped as there are no flights that can take them away from that region.
It's best to find a safe shelter in such scenarios and keep communicating with your loved ones.
The ones who absolutely need to get back to their homes may try other getting away by road or ship to some point where they can find a flight back to their home.
But then again, it might still be risky for many reasons. So probably best to keep monitoring the news and flights for best possibilities.

Tourism isn’t really important right now for these countries affected, especially in middle east. What’s important right now is the safety of the people in these countries. Most airports are closed and no flights in these neighboring countries so they cannot really have tourist. Even the tourists who went in these countries before it started are most likely to be stranded until they get signals that it’s safe to travel back.

Surely, it will bring a long lasting impact in the economy since it’s a war. For developed countries, it might be easier for them to rise back up compared to other countries after this war, but we will all definitely be affected. Even if some of us are living far from these countries involved, we will still feel some of the impact from this war like price hike. War doesn’t bring anything good. It’s all just damages  affecting the innocent people, their lives and safety, and the economy.

On this note it's the safety of the individuals that matters because with the chaos alot of things would be restricted greatly, like travelling out of the domain so with that tourism isn't something to be neglected because of the chaotic situations but it shouldn't be the main focus because it'll only warrant a divided focus abd achievement, so in situation as this our focus shouldn't be driven towards a direction but fut acrossv

Tourism and vacations getting affected should be the least of our concerns right now because we will or are facing bigger problems than that, one major one of which is the rising inflation rates all around the world. Because most routes are disturbed and possibly closed for import and export, most countries are facing shortage of very important things, especially fuel/oil which is causing a lot of problems and this will only increase over time if the war continues. We are talking about travelling from one country to another, but if this continues, we will also face problems travelling within our cities because of excessive price hikes of even local transportation due to an increase in prices of fuel and gas.

Let's just pray and hope that things get better and more countries don't get involved, because if that happens, the current effects will multiply in no time and then we will face disastrous inflation in our countries even if we are not directly involved in the war. Those who start such wars don't think about these consequences, mostly because they know they are not going to get affected much, but they don't think about other countries that will face so many problems because of war.

Yes the safety of citizens is what we should be looking at now and not any other thing now as the safety of citizens is very important now. With the increase in insecurity all over the world now i think what we should be looking at now is how to keep citizens save and not tourism, not that there is anything wrong with tourism but just that our actions now is about to cause more problem for us . Tourism is very good because it expose us to something we dont know but because of insecurity challenge it is now the least of the things we should be looking at now as know one knows what tomorrow has to offer because the heart of men are evil only interested in causing harm to each other if not what Is happening now is never enough to lead to war.

This is the way it is, for the neighboring countries close to where the war is happening to put everything that will attract visitors to their country on hold till further notice because war doesn't discriminate, it can affect the countries close without notice. For countries not to be affected, it's an idea to cancel the free movement of people by air and sea, so that no lives will be lost for no good reason that would have been avoided

Most Middle Eastern countries are super-rich, and I think they can still survive this situation. Unless the war escalates and Middle Eastern countries become directly involved. Currently, tourism is the sector most impacted, creating a major domino effect on the economy. Flights are closed, and airlines are losing revenue. Hotels, museums, and tourist attractions are empty, causing losses for businesses because they have operating costs. This is detrimental to businesses in Middle Eastern countries. Trapped tourists are also a problem because they naturally have budget constraints on their travel expenses. Workers are at risk of losing their jobs, and some are forced to return to their home countries. The tourism sector has many economic chains that are at risk of collapse in a chaotic situation like this.
