Keeping everyones sales and auction threads on point really is conducive. Many of my personal “vendettas” have spawned from members massacring sales threads and reputations.
Just report the posts that you think break forum rules and it will be investigated.

Firstly, can you clarify, exactly, what are the rules for when comments can be removed by mods, from a topic started by someone in collectibles?
I'm not sure what there is to clarify? The list found in unofficial list of official forum rules is pretty much what reports are compared against. Having said that, even those aren't set it stone, since it is all up to the interpretation of the staff member processing the report. That could be one of the board moderator (me, Cyrus or hilariousandco), other global moderators or an administrator. One might find it a valid report, whilst the other doesn't.

A constructive insult is, for example, not directly against forum rules, but if an entire discourse is created that starts going off-topic, it would be better to split it off, which is what I've done after F*D reported the posts. I honestly do feel that if I had left a comment about the F*D holograms, it wouldn't have resulted in 2 pages off replies.
Having a local rule which causes replies about said local rule, is off-topic to the topic (and thus I removed it, since they were reported).

All in all, I try to not actively moderate the Collectibles board, unless someones reports something (excluding moving topic or merging consecutive posts, if I see them). This is a liberal forum and I try to treat it that way. The less I do, the better, which I also highly prefer, since I rather focus on nuking spam accounts and dealing with shenanigans in Beginners & Help/Off-Topic.

EDIT: Tried to reword my post better, but it is still early. Sorry for the edits.

EDIT2: Kazkaz27, I see you reported some posts in 2025 Caribbean Treasures "Physical Bitcoin & Bullion" Group 1/2 oz silver bar, which is exactly what I told you to do. This is a somewhat older topic though, so we usually don't bother then anymore (you should've seen a warning about this and I literally see '[old]' in front of the report message).

Would've been better if the OP themselves reports it, since they have most to gain. I've reached out to CARIBBEAN_TREASURES directly, if they still want me to do so, since everything has been sold anyway.

We reported this post several times at the time.
In hindsight, do you consider it off-topic or aggressive, or is this considered normal forum behaviour? We want to understand the standard, since we only removed Lot #13 after the bidder voluntarily agreed — yet the post calling us a liar remains.

Edit: looks like this was actioned upon. Thanks

Since trust feedback was already left and the post wasn't really constructive, I do agree that it should've been split up. Either to Reputation or just another topic. I don't think I handled the original report, so I'm unsure, sorry.
