Please can anybody here help me get my Bitcoin back ?

Good day everyone, I have been trying to recover the Bitcoin a friend of mine helped me buy some years back..  Can I be helped here?
Bitcoin is really expensive now, so i really need to get those bitcoins. 
what is this platform for btw? Because this website looks really old. I wonder what’s going on here and if I can be helped here.

I think your friends could’ve know much better on how you can recover it back. Because is the one that helped you  buy the Bitcoin l, the best thing is to ask him the earlier is better since the Bitcoin is little expensive now i think you can get profits from there because u know it has been a while that you bought.

But why is that the time that your friend helped you buy the bitcoin he didn’t give you everything about your wallets, or your the one that misplaced your recovery wallets?

You don’t even give any information that’s going to make us know if it’s possible to recover your bitcoin or not. Since you bought the bitcoin long time ago, why don’t you just contact that your friend that helped you when you were buying the bitcoin, am sure he will know how you bought the bitcoin, and where the bitcoin was stored, but you should know that their is nothing anyone on the forum here can do.

Also you have to be careful of people that will send you message that they want to assist you, most of them just want to take some money from you, because they are going to ask you to pay some amount of money, and immediately you pay that, they going to be giving more excuses to request for more money from you.

Also we need to know where the bitcoin was bought from, and where it was stored. If you store it in a non custodial wallet, if you don’t have access to your seed phrase, then you should know the bitcoin is gone Already, their is no way you going to recover the bitcoin back.

If you need help to recover your bitcoin, you need to first tell us a few things:

- Do you remember where you bought it from?
- Which wallet did you use to store it?
- Do you have anything as backup? a wallet.dat file? a seedphrase? a private key? (make sure to NOT show, or post those if you do).

Good reply, these are things that if the person did not have he can not get the bitcoin back, recovering bitcoin is not something that someone can do just by doing some simple things, you have to get some necessary details that is needed before you can recover it that is why we should be careful and write down those details in case we forget them. For me, i don’t think there is any way to get the bitcoin back if the person can not provide those details because they are keys that will make them get access to the bitcoin whether it is still in the wallet or not.

There is something I don’t understand about what OP said, how did the person just don’t have access to his bitcoin again? Is it that the person is lying or the person did not know anything about bitcoin? Because if the person understand bitcoin he will never lose his passwords and other important things about his bitcoin.

A lot of persons and things I read has been talking about this seed pharse, but I don’t have it. Even if I did have it, it will be in my old computer..
Does that mean I can’t get the Bitcoin without a seed pharse?

There is obviously no way you can get your coin back from a self custody wallet without your seed phrase or private key. These are security mechanism in place to ensure your coin remains your sole property and when you are unable to provide them, their is no way the system could authenticate you to be the original owner, wanting access to them Bitcoin.

If you’ve got your old computer and have a password to access the wallet, good for you otherwise, it’s as good as gone and your claims or I formation is way too basic for any help.
