It is only a person without a  conscience that will sit back and withhold the renovation of a dilapidated school, a school that has leakages no chairs and desk for the students to seat on, the environment is messy and not in a good conducive condition for learning, Upon the surfaces of the videos that trended online where the girl was beating by the local government chairman and his brother and he had the guts to come online to deny it and even went back to bribe the girl with 2.5million naira which the girl has resent to him few days ago, I admire the courage of the young lady that stood her grounds in the face of intimidation.

This shows how reckless our leaders are, I'm sure that's not the only dilapidated school in Rivers State, we have other schools but those schools lacks who will face intimidations without fear and create public awareness to it, Nigeria politics only derives joy when the Masses they were supposed to serve are suffering, I totally condemned the attack of the chairman on the poor girl and those who are saying they should seek for proper approval from the government before VDM can build, the question is where was the government when the school was in a deplorable state? , And needed renovations?

This is not something surprising and the government should be ashamed of themselves. They don’t want to feel ashamed more for an outsider to come fix the school when they can themselves and are not willing to do it. Anything they do about that school now will affect them. If they renovate it, the people will say they had the money all along but didn’t want to do it. And if an outsider renovates it, it’ll be a big shame they can’t face other public to get another reelection into those offices.

This is just a similar of my senator who happen not to work on the state of the town road, seeing another woman, a civil servant in the federal ministry of works is changing the face of the town, he told her to stop that those are his jurisdiction to work on and not her work. She left the remaining work and till now nothing is done and the road is looking more dilapidated. Politicians are wicked and mean, they can’t be trusted and you will not see them until they want something from you during elections.

The Nigerian government dont have shame and can never be ashamed no matter the situation instead they will identify a suitable word to justify their corrupt actions without any atom of regret at last. If there was shame in the eyes of Nigerian leaders such nonsense wont have been happening in Nigeria especially in a project that requires serious attention because education is the key for unlocking the future of children as children are the leaders of tomorrow.
One problem in Nigeria is our leaders are only interested in what they will gain when and after power in office and not how to administer the duties they where called for before getting into office, if not for that greedy and corrupt thinking already established in them i see nothing wrong in fixing a dilapidated school in once community when the resources is available.

Why you see them fighting so well to ensure that VDM and Burna boy are not the ones that will fix the school is because of their selfish interest, now this is the logic the school has been exposed to the general public, hence, there is urgency from the government to fix it, but if the chairman allows VDM and Burna boy to fix it they won’t collect there normal percentage or benefits, but if they award the contract directly under the local government chairman he will benefit from it that’s why you see them fighting to ensure that VDM and Burna boy don’t fix it because they won’t make any profit if a private individual fix it.

This same scenario plays out in our local area roads, now if a road is bad and a private individual wants to fix it the local government chairman and counselors won’t accept, the reason is because their plan will be to use that bad road to steal enough money from the federal government/state government, in fact one bad road can be used to steal money more than 4 times, take this Ogoni road from Eleme junction for example, do you know that the road have been awarded by different past presidents even Goodluck and the senators and local government chairmen have been eaten that money over time, it’s just now under Tinubu administration that they have finally decided to fix that road. Nigeria is just finished, the mindset of our politicians is just to embezzle funds, they have no strategic plans to better the welfare of citizens.

It’s such a disgraceful act by that local government chairman to go and beat up that lady who was only trying to bring to the notice of the government concerning the condition of the school, instead of the local government chairman to acknowledge the girl and swing into action towards making efforts to see that the school is been renovated he went and beat her up and making the whole situation worse, now the general public have seen what a terrible character he is and he’s political reputation is on the line of being shattered. Maybe he thought he could silenced the little girl simply because he’s in power but never knew it was going to end up like this.

I admire the courage and bravery of the girl because if not that she was a valiant person, the public won't have known what pupils in that school are going through. Instead of the local govt chairman to apologise to the girl and Nigerians,he was rather blaming the girl for exposing the deplorable condition of the school. That she should have contacted him directly or come to his office to inform him of it,can you imagine the nonsense. As if it was easy for her to reach him and she didn't. The only time these politicians are available and accessible is during campaigns, but once there are elected into office,it become a problem to see them. For safety she should relocate out the village because they might come hunting her later.

From what have Learnt the girl's life is already in danger as we speak because I saw some  footages of charms that was placed at the front of her house not once but twice, and this is to tell us how evil people can be for someone that creates awareness over the dilapidatory state of a school that seeks attention and requires renovations to be attacked and placing charms at her compound just to kill her is very evil and unreasonable, it's very terrible and the girl in question needs to relocate as soon as possible before they harm her in that community.

Several schools across the states are in a messy state and seeks renovation too but there no one to call the attention of the public to, do we really need to call the attention of the government to their primary responsibilities?, this are what they should be doing without the citizens calling and making posts about it, what are the duties of the local government councilors and chairmen if they can't scout for schools that are dilapidated in their areas and renovate and make the learning environment conducive for students, the leaders neglect this things and only remember those places during elections, what a zoo country we have found ourselves.

this is as a result of high level of stupidity and ungratefulness. how can the local government chairman beat up that young girl that raised an alarm that aided in bringing verydarkman to their aid. i know this men are doing this because of the high level of corruption they have involve themselves into. i know this attitude is base on the local government chairman being involve in embezzling the fund meant to be used for this project, and making this known to public that they dont have school is like a slap to their face, that's why he is being afraid of what else will happen, but what is there to be afraid of, when the matter is on the air and everybody knows about it. but this matter should be looked into because it is not right to treat that girl in that manner knowing she is just doing the right thing, just that this people are corrupt.

Honestly situation like this are very painful to see or hear, it really really feels wrong when the ones that God has given the grace to be in power allow things to go bad yet block other people who are willing to help or show support. What you have said makes a lot of sense because sometimes it looks like pride, personal interest and most importantly playing politics to get in the way of doing the right thing and that is exactly why people lose there trust because it only fees like development only matters to them during elections. But come to think of it, not all the so called politicians are completely wicked, the problem is that we have a system whereby accountability is very very weak so even when people fail, nothing really happens. This is exactly why I support your point that our leaders should put the people first and drop there ego or control.

That is still the question i find very difficult to answer till now. What you failed to do someone else is ready and willing to do it for you and are getting upset when the money is not from your pocket.  After looking at that my conclusion on the matter is they don't want anybody to go out of the boundage of suffering and expects all to worship them as God's because if not so I don't see any reason a local government chairman will stand against the success of his people.

Honestly it really doesn’t make any sense because why would anyone stand against the progress of there own people? Exactly where it starts to feel intentional, like some leaders just prefer a system where people remain dependent so they can stay in control. When leadership starts seeing people’s progress as a threat then something is already wrong. And when this leaders notices this, they may try to slow down and block opportunities for the people, they just want want people to suffer due to their selfish interest and fear of losing influence or because they want to retain that power. So for me I’ll say that this people we call leaders prioritize control over development.
