Gambling Retirement Plan

I don't think age matters much when it comes to betting, because even if you're quite old, the only thing that matters is health, both physical and mental. And why should we have a mental retirement age? If a man reaches 80, for example, still smoking, why would a doctor recommend he quit if the patient doesn't have lung problems or obstructions? The stress of quitting at that age could do more harm than the cigarettes themselves. Perhaps the doctor might tell him to cut down, but if he hasn't had problems in 80 years, it's assumed that smoking won't prevent him from doing so for the rest of his life.
Well, as long as we're physically and mentally healthy, I don't see any problem with you continuing your bets.

If you are not a problem gambler, and you don't gamble for profits and lose a lot of money from it, why retire in the first place? There are so many people who consider gambling a hobby, an activity that they do when they are bored and have nothing else to do, and they spend amounts that they can easily afford to lose, and for such people, retiring from gambling at an age where they will have a lot of free time will only be getting away from an activity that they enjoy because if you are old and have free time and also have money to spend on it, why not?

And, if you are a problem gambler, and you spend a lot of money on your gambling activities, money that you can't afford to lose but you still do it because you are hopeful that you are going to make something good out of it someday but that day has never come in your life. I don't see why one would hand over such an activity to their younger generation and ask them to continue gambling this way and face financial problems because of it.

So, either take gambling as a hobby and don't overspend on it, or just retire as early as possible if you are spending too much money on it, you don't need to hand it over to anyone.

Well, gambling is not like a real job that you would talk about the retirement plans, it's just an activity of choice which as an adult, you can decide to continue gambling until the day you will pass away, right now that online gambling has been the order of the day, people no longer have to go to physical casinos, things has been made very easy for them to gamble until they are old and still able to use their mobile phone. It's not something you can pass to your heirs but it's based on choice of satisfaction.

I think gambling should also have a retirement period. Not a specific age like the government works but like a personal commitment at a certain age. To hand over the gambling activities to the younger generations.
Maybe before that time you as an individual can have a target and work towards achieving it then you take that as a retirement benefit from all your Years of gambling.

The funny thing is, majority of the senior citizens that I know are the ones who notoriously gamble at their age!

I think it's really what life gives us- old people tend to have the money but not the time and the power to use such. This is the reason on why most seniors tend to visit physical casinos (instead of online ones) in hotels and other platforms. Additionally, you would see dozens of old people playing bingo on malls with all kinds of gambling activities.

I feel no need of having a specific age or time of retirement when it comes to gambling, what if you are looking for a life changing opportunity in gambling and it doesn’t come , would keeping gambling even in your 90s for the opportunity to come , even in your 20s you can still stop once  you get what you want or better still when betting doesn’t Favour you , you can still decide to stop and focus on other stuff, I don’t agree to this retirement ideas towards gambling, this is not a job that you can retire at some age, this is a game , you can decide to quit at any point in time .

More than the age, it's about the purpose on what keeps you entertained and satisfied.

Most gamblers nowadays are too focused on the income side of gambling instead of viewing it as a means of entertainment. If that were the case, then expect varying results when it comes to the age of retirement.

Isn't it in certain areas that we can actually see elderly people gambling? Gambling has a minimum age limit, but it does not have a maximum age limit for doing it. Retirement from gambling can only be determined by the gambler themselves. But when you reach a certain age, and you are still earning money from an ongoing business, you have more free time that can actually be used for gambling. Being able to quit and retire from gambling would be good, but it may be difficult for those who are already used to gambling and still have enough money to have fun.
