You made a nice point. I remember when companies like ExxonMobil, Chevron, Lockheed Martin and more were reporting  massive profit this year.  This just shows how certain kind of companies or individuals benefits from government spending and global conflicts. A clear example are the defence industries, whose gain comes from demand of from fighting equipment like aircraft, guns, missiles etc. But Taxpayers money funds alot of this things.

‎If Trump refuses to end the war because of how it exposes his failed policy, it won't matter much any longer because the mid term election is coming up. It looks like the Democrats are having a strong edge over Republicans in the upcoming election.  Democrats winning will be an headache for Trump. lots and lots of investigation might be carried out on him.

These big, greedy oil companies will continue to fill their pockets with money for the duration of the war. The longer the conflict between the US and Iran, the more profit such companies will be able to make. The future is all about reducing (or eliminating completely) the dependence of oil. Especially in the energy sector. It's going to take quite some time before the world is ready for this transition.

At least, oil prices won't stay high forever. Like you've stated, the US midterms are coming. Dems will probably win, setting back Trump's ambitions to prolong the war. If Republicans retain control of both chambers of Congress, then it would be complete disaster. These are uncertain times, so anything's possible.

So far, what I still wonder is whether the war in the Middle East is just Trump's idea or the idea of the US political establishment and elite. Because there has been almost no strong opposition or real effort from the Democratic Party to stop Trump.

So, in my opinion, expecting the war to end if Democrats regain control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections is not realistic.

At this point, I really don't see any factor strong enough to bring the war to an end. The US will not easily stop when its objectives have not yet been achieved.

Seven months and you still pondering and wondering? Lol. Several president before Donald Trump refused engaging in a war with iran bit he was the only one dumb enough to do so, thinking it was strength, but it was pure cowardice. Some speculations are that he did to stop investigations into the Epstein files, and another saying he is being blackmailed by Netanyahu and isreali regime. I don't know much about them, but there are top Republicans and Trump supporters doing well to bring awareness about everything he's done wrong.

Thomas Massie and Tucker Carlson are example enough. Both the Republicans and Democrats do everything for the isreali regime, I don't expect any changes. Besides, they're all being lobbied by them. There could be a way to do that though, take out the US troops from the middle east and also keep to the memorandum he signed few months back.

I seem to recall Democrats opposing Trump's war a while ago. The only Democrat that showed full support was none other than Rep. Fetterman. Opposing republicans joined democrats in a war powers resolution, just to stop Trump's little charade. However, it failed, leaving us where we are right now. Trump has claimed the US has won the war many times, yet it continues to attack Iran while making everyone believe a deal is underway.

Oil prices are pretty much volatile right now. They rise and they go up in an instant. For a while, prices will remain persistently high. There's nothing we can do but wait until the midterms. We will only expect huge signs of relief after a change in administration by 2028. Hold on tight, as the best is yet to come (hopefully).

Both democrats and Republicans are in support of foreign wars and their support for isreali regime since they all have been bought with money.  I still do not see the possibility where a democrats come in and make a massive difference,  the time of Barrack Obama saw heavy sanctions, I think they can with stand anything.
Donald Trump signed the Mou but he couldn't stop Benjamin Netanyahu from from committing further genocide in both Palestine and Lebanese. I don't know what comes but hopefully we get to benefit from it all.

I do not know about any secret deal between the US and Israel. But the reality is that a lot of Democrats do not support this war at all.

In previous votes aimed at limiting Trump's war powers to end the conflict, most Democrats supported the resolutions, with only 4 voting against them.

But you do have a point. Even if they take back the House, there's still very little chance they'll actually be able to stop the war. The most they could do was put pressure on the Trump admin by delaying or blocking funding for the war.

The government also benefits, which is why people are acting however they please. The poor are the ones who suffer from the price changes, and there are many factors influencing fuel prices. At the very least, we shouldn't be paying so much for fuel, and this Iran-US saga should end so that things return to normal. We are waiting for things to change because we don't even know what is going on at this point.

Quote
At least, oil prices won't stay high forever. Like you've stated, the US midterms are coming. Dems will probably win, setting back Trump's ambitions to prolong the war. If Republicans retain control of both chambers of Congress, then it would be complete disaster. These are uncertain times, so anything's possible.

We are aware that it won't remain high forever, but since electric vehicles may eventually take over, there won't be an option for the price to simply drop. The fluctuating price of fuel is purely political, and I believe that people should be taken into consideration at this point.

The Isreali government pushed the US government into the war. A lot of the politicians in USA are sponsored by AIPAC, which why it will be hard for them to oppose the war. Everything that his happening currently is for the interest of the Isreali government, the USA won't benefit anything from it. Instead they will lose billions, men and weapons in the so called war. But I feel if the Democrats win the seat , they might question Trump's participation on the war.  I still don't understand the objective of USA in this war, they have been saying Iran is weeks away from getting nuclear weapons, yet no results have been proven. At the start of this conflict, they changed their theme of this conflict to changing the current regime, which didn't work out well. If they don't stop the war, they will continue losing billions of dollars and debts keeps increasing.

No one knows for how long this war can go on. It can be weeks or months. But a lot of people seem to think that once the war ends, everything will go back to normal. That is not the case. Oil prices are going up now and for every day that companies struggle to operate, the closer they are to bankruptcy. Maybe the big companies would be fine but even them are struggling. To expect that once the war ends, everything will go back to how it was before would be foolish. It will take a while for everything to go down low, if things were to bounce back to what we used to consider normal.

If the war between US, and Iran is finally over, the price of petroleum products will eventually go down, but not as people are expecting because it is going to be a gradual process. The scarcity of petroleum products have degenerated to other economic imbalance. For instance, the scarcity of fuel has caused high cost of living as high cost of transportation can impact an economy negatively. Another factor is that many workers no longer afford to transport themselves to their place of work, and thereby loosing their job while others are working from home. So the war is really affecting economic activities negatively. There is need for dialogue, and only this way can peace be restored, and price of oil will definitely become normal again.

Btw, nobody has ever promised that oil price would go do when the war will be over. Twisted logic, but when traders see that someone is ready to buy for price A, then why would they sell it for a lower price when people are ready to pay high? Sad truth, but due to increased fuel price I dont see less cars on the roads. I still get stuck at same time in same traffic jams, still see same amount of people in shops, at the airport. People around look that they have adopted to high price. Btw, long time ago it was said that "car is luxury than necessity".

I agree that the damage doesn’t disappear the moment a war ends, but markets can recover faster than the real economy. Oil prices often react to expectations before the actual situation changes. Once markets see a credible path to peace, supply fears, shipping costs and risk premiums can fall quickly. So “back to normal” may take time, but recovery doesn’t necessarily have to be painfully slow.

It seems that the Iran war are getting more and more worse daily as Iran and USA navies are attacking each other more frequently now on the sea around Strait of Hormuz. Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are deepening the oil crisis by ordering the USA navies to fire at Iranian oil tankers, and Iran are also attacking oil tankers of other gulf nations as an act of retaliation. It seems that both sides are truly keen on prolonging the oil crisis and jacking up the price of oil through their hostile actions against each other.

This is not the first time oil prices have gone upward. The war between Ukraine and Russia also pushed oil above $100, but price eventually came backdown as the market stabilized and supply adjusted.

So even if the war doesn't end, oil can still cool down if we find alternative source of supply or people gradually adapt to the supply disruptions.

Oil is the backbone of the economy, and transportation is necessity for most families. So fuel demand is not gonna just disappear because prices go up.

Now that the powerful armed forces of Yemen is liberating the Yemen's coastlines by destroying Saudi/American proxies that included Wahhabi/Takfiri terrorists and other fools, the Yemeni dominance in the Red Sea, Strait of Bab al-Mandab will increase even further. They have been imposing a retaliatory blockade on the Saudis and have successfully crippled the Saudi oil exports (as well as cripple the scam known as Petrodollar). Not to mention that each time the Saudi usurpers of Arabia attack Yemen or even invade their airspace with a drone, the powerful armed forces of Yemen bombs Saudi oil infrastructure in retaliation.

The point is that the current oil price surge (apart from US strategic oil reserves dropping extremely low, making US regime's market manipulation so much more difficult) is because of that war the Epstein Axis has ben waging on Yemen in the past decade.

Donald Trump had said that the Iran war will be only over after the USA mid term elections, and I think that is a horrible decision as there are still around two months time until the USA mid term elections arrives. With Donald Trump making a lot of fake promises ever since he was elected into the white house, I also does not believe that he will be able to end the war with Iran even after the USA mid term elections has ended as he promise, I believe oil prices are just going to continue to rise to price levels which might be a new record high this year within this two months.

that's not even the worst news. according to the WSJ, the White House recently discussed the possibility that the war with Iran could drag on past the presidential inauguration in 1/2029. that's completely different from Trump's claim yesterday that it would end after the midterm election, as you mentioned.

that just shows that Trump, or anyone else for that matter, doesn't really know when this war is gonna end, nor can they decide it on their own.

the war could last longer than we think. and yeah, if things keep escalating, a new ath for oil prices isn't really out of the question.

Forcing USA companies to invest in Venezuela oil infrastructure while at the same time fucking all of Europe in the ass with high oil prices.  As an added bonus he will force China to pay more for oil by sinking Iranian oil tankers.

Unfortunately Trump is good at breaking shit.

The US regime's aggression toward Iran was not started by the Pedophile POTUS to end with him. I posted most of what I knew of here a while ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5516661.0

It is coming to an end though. Kicking out the regime from West Asia is a lengthy process but most of it is already done with the destruction of most of CENTCOM and a lot of of the regime's military bases across the region.
Generally speaking this year is the first year in 500 years that nary a single colonizer's military vessels exists in the Persian Gulf. Next round will probably include sinking the US Navy (which is currently hiding in the Indian Ocean) as well which will put an end to the regime's global aggression for decades to come.

It is also worth mentioning that it is not up to the pedophile or the US regime in general to end the war they started. They could only start it, now it is only up to Iran to decide when and how it ends. Iran has stated that it only ends when US regime is kicked out of the entire region (that includes all the US proxies that mostly form the US Army like al-Qaeda, Israel, ISIS, etc.).
Next round is already started as well. Over the past week Iran has delivered the deadliest retaliatory strikes on the regime's assets across the region, hitting an aircraft carrier, multiple destroyers and also seizing one of the regime's most advanced submarines was some of the most crippling blows to the decrepit US military.

Obviously! And even if he intends to do so, Benjamin Netanyahu has his ways of bringing him back into the war

More than that, food shortages and the damages it will leave on the global economy which runs directly on oil and energy.

Which is too heavy according to speculations ( I see why they wanted Iranian oil ). And why on earth are Europe refusing to negotiate with Putin? They should be getting cheap oil from Russia but I don't know why. If he does that, then Iranians will further hit their military assets in the middle east. Lately, Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait was massively strucked.

He has never solved shit, all he brings is purely chaos.

It is a logical reasoning that things will not return back to normal immediately the war is put to a stop. Normally, there is always consequences for wars fought either directly or indirectly. For instance, the war between Russia and Ukraine has left the global economy with certain consequences like some countries have risen inflation and some product have now increased in price like flour and products made from flour e.g bread.

So things will not bounce back immediately after war and some micro businesses will go down, bringing some household into poverty. Prices of goods will increase like we see fuel increasing and that is the major factor for some countries energy supply or electricity.
It is unfortunately all too clear that the effects of the war will persist for years, even after it ends. It is unrealistic to expect the economy to return to its former state the very next day just because the war has concluded. It is far more difficult for prices that have risen to drop back to their previous levels; once prices go up, supply chains and everything else adjust accordingly. While it would be ideal for everything to return to normal instantly once the war is over, economic balances unfortunately do not recover that quickly.

I have been told Diesel hit 10$ in some places (California) in the US.
I don't know if this game will benefit the US in the end, but the journey toward victory is going to be long and painful for everyone.
