This is not the best time to gamble because the decision is not clear and there are high chance of mistakes at such point. I think most people make these mistakes. I've seen parents take their children to betting places and even send them to gamble. I think it's more of a cultural problem than a problem with gambling itself, since in many countries gambling culture is ingrained from the very foundations. A bad mood certainly has a huge impact on players. I remember several gaming sessions that were simply terrible when I wasn't in the mood. Now I just understand that it's better to never log into a game, even if someone, even family or friends, tries to distract me. I want to play with complete concentration and be fully immersed in the game; this will probably help improve my win rate when betting. But when someone is nearby, I automatically can't take the game seriously; I want to bet just for the sake of betting, and that's not serious or responsible gaming.

I would say gambling when you are short on funds with the mindset that you are going to make some money from gambling is a very wrong time or condition for gambling because instead of making more money, there is a high possibility that you will lose whatever you currently have, and then you will have nothing. I have seen so many people make this mistake, they gamble with the little funds they have because they believe they can make something from it, but they lose it, and then they are compelled to take loans or borrow money from others to run their daily circle since they have nothing left.

If you are not making good money, and have the assurance that even if you lose some money in gambling, your basic needs won't get affected and you won't have financial problems which might lead you to taking debts, then you shouldn't gamble in the first place. Relaxing is definitely a good idea, as I'm sure no one will disturb me when I'm just having fun with them, and I definitely won't be able to concentrate on the game. Never gamble when you are financially down. This looks underrated but it's the most important thing every gambler need. Some or most gamblers are very fond becoming friendly with casino when they are financially down and one bad thing about gambling is that everything looks good on paper but as soon as you start and start loosing, that's when you will know that gambling is not as easy as we project it from the beginning because it's very hard.

This usually happens deep into an addiction rather than a newcomer or someone just enjoying a bit of casual play. If you have strong urges to gamble during inappropriate times, it's usually something you're thinking about nonstop and trying to find money to continue. At that point you become almost robotic and you almost forget why you're even engaged in gambling any more.
