I can still see continued interest in the project, and I’ve even noticed people making improvements to the code. Because of that, I’ll soon bring back a new version of the website for the community, including links to the existing communities.

For now, I’ve set the dev fund address to automatically send any funds to the dead wallet, as I can see that not everyone has migrated to the improved version without a dev fund yet.

I’m not on Discord, so I don’t know exactly what’s going on there, but I think that’s probably a good thing.

The project belongs to the community, and as I can see, it’s slowly but steadily developing in the direction I originally planned.

P.S. I also recommend asking the explorer owner to improve the explorer or rescan the blockchain, as it’s currently not showing the correct balances when coins are moved from staking addresses.

For example, my first wallet currently has 0 coins, but the explorer is still showing a balance of over 50k coins (DPPgEh7FYqbGZdXwu5QvqdGYRgn1ei97Xo). The same applies to the dev fund address(DDR5McMyHz3thYin9goHZrqoU195QkEhRe), which only has a few coins instead of the 300k. I’m sure there are also other bugs affecting the balances of other staker addresses.

Dorkcoin v13.2.7 (Windows wallet) released

Summary
v13.2.7 is a rebuilt Windows package with corrected version numbers, plus the 0% staking fee change first committed in v13.2.6.

What was wrong with 13.2.6
The earlier "13.2.6" Windows download was a repackage of an older build, and the version constants in the source had not been bumped. As a result, Help > About still displayed 13.2.2. This has been fixed and the package was rebuilt from a clean tree. The source and tag are on GitHub, and Help > About now shows v13.2.7.

Staking fee
The default dev-fund donation on staking rewards is now 0%. It is a wallet-side change and does not alter consensus. Stakes made with this build have paid the full 100 coins per block, with no separate dev-fund output in the coinstake transaction.

Upgrade steps

• Close the wallet completely and back up wallet.dat.
• Extract the zip to a new folder.
• Run dorkcoin-qt.exe against your existing data folder.
• Confirm Help > About shows v13.2.7.

Notes

• If your dorkcoin.conf contains a donatetodevfund setting above 0, remove it, as it overrides the new default.
• Known issue: pasting multiple commands at once into the debug Console can crash the wallet. Enter commands one at a time.
• The executables are not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen or antivirus may warn on first run. Verify the SHA256 above against your download.

We just shipped a brand new game on dorkcoingames.com, and this one is pure brain power. No luck, no random outcomes. If you like Sudoku, Queens or Star Battle-style puzzles, this is for you.

How it works

The board is a square grid split into irregular color zones. Your job is to place Dorks (our nerd-glasses coin logo) so that:

• There is exactly one Dork in every row
• There is exactly one Dork in every column
• There is exactly one Dork in every color zone
• No two Dorks may touch, including diagonally

Every placed Dork rules out its whole row, column, color zone and the eight squares around it, so the real game is working out which squares are forced. Typical tricks: a tiny color zone leaves a Dork only a couple of options, and a zone confined to two columns takes those columns away from other zones.

500 levels

• Levels 1 to 19 start small: 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 8x8 and 9x9, to teach the ropes
• Levels 20 to 500 are all 10x10, getting steadily harder
• Every level has exactly one solution, verified by a solver, so you never need to guess
• Progress is saved to your Dorkcade account

Lives and the burn

Each level gives you 3 lives. Placing a Dork on a wrong square costs one. When you run out:

• Pay 25 DORK to keep your current board and get 3 more lives, or
• decline, and the level resets to the start

All 25 DORK from every continue goes 100% to the burn. It is counted in the live burn tally on the Live page, so you can watch the next burn grow in real time. As a reminder, DORK is proof-of-stake and new coins keep minting through staking rewards, so burns exist to counteract that ongoing inflation rather than protect a fixed cap.

The game is free to play from start to finish. The continue is completely optional.

Quality-of-life features

• Auto-X: automatically crosses out everything a placed Dork rules out (can be turned off)
• Tap to mark an X, tap again to clear it (never costs a life), double-tap to place a Dork
• Optional "Tap places Dork" mode for single-tap placing
• Your DORK balance is shown right on the game page
• Pastel look, sound effects you can mute, and built for phones as well as desktop
