The simple term is just the difference between your entering and selling is the maturity, their must be a difference mostly positive difference of increase unless your selling on losses, this different or increase is what I consider maturity, to some time frame is required depends on the number or quantity accumulated . Some short term investor can still count on maturity while long term also do same but all depends on entering level and the increase seen through their entering and profit to be pulled out. I agree that Bitcoin is not a fixed deposit that must have a maturity stage that must reach before you can be able to withdraw, it is your currency therefore your money and you are free to sell it or use it for payments whenever you like. But specifically in Bitcoin investment you can consider it's 4 years circles which historically after a bear run comes bull run then all time high (ATH) before you can get a realistic investment returns. The longer circles that you hold your Bitcoin the better because at every peak of bull run you will get sure profits no matter the price which you bought. So ideally between 8 to 10 years and more, hold for as long as you can.

It is not stated, that depends on individuals perspective and decision on their investment, Mr A might prefer long term investment while Mr B prefers short term investment that is their personal decision.

There is no specific time you will have to hold bitcoin before it is due for you to take profits but if you have been able to reach your level of accumulation, you can decide to be taking profits from your investment but if you are still accumulating you will have to wait till you meet your target. It all depends on what you want, some people only accumulate and hold for 5 years, some accumulate and hold for 10 years and more, so it really depends on what you want, if you have decided to hold for 5 years then that 5 years is your maturity stage and you can start selling, but I will always advise you to accumulate consistently and hold for 10 to 20 years because this is when you will get very good profit from your bitcoin investment. Um, bros, I think here u reversed the process. I think before you venture into any investment, the first thing you will have to understand is what benefits it brings and what is it's potential profit, before researching on how the business operates and the risks involved.
