Opstan has received an official listing on Blockspot.io

Friends, we are glad to share good news: the Opstan project has received an official listing on the crypto platform Blockspot.io.

Official Opstan page on the platform:
https://blockspot.io/coin/opstan/

This is an important and positive milestone for the development of our project.
Being listed on such a crypto platform helps make Opstan more visible to a wider audience and provides another point of presence in the crypto space.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributes to the development of Opstan:

— our team members
— people who support the network and mine
— those who run nodes
— those who manage channels, share news, and spread information about the project
— everyone who tests, reports bugs, suggests improvements, and simply supports us

Every contribution truly matters.
Thanks to the community support, active participation, and continuous work, the project keeps growing and moving forward.

Opstan is an independent Proof-of-Work blockchain with a built-in social network, and we continue step by step to strengthen the network, improve infrastructure, and expand the project’s presence across different platforms.

Thank you to everyone who is with us.
This is just the beginning, and there are many more important milestones ahead.

Opstan is close to the top on Blockspot.io — we ask for your support

Earlier, we shared that Opstan was officially listed on Blockspot.io.
For us, this was an important step forward and another opportunity to make the project more visible to a wider audience.

Now we have more good news:
Opstan is already very close to reaching the top on Blockspot.io.

Recently, Blockspot.io also published a post on X encouraging people to support our project:
https://x.com/Blockspot_io/status/2041479124045197536

If you have the opportunity, we would greatly appreciate your support.
You can visit the Opstan page and vote for us here:

https://blockspot.io/coin/opstan/

Every vote really matters.
This kind of support helps the project grow, become more visible, and attract new people to the community.

Thank you to everyone who already supports Opstan, follows the project, helps through mining, testing, running nodes, and sharing information.

If you can, please support us with your vote on Blockspot.io.

🚀 Opstan Node — Major Update Released

Hello everyone!

We have finally completed a big update for the Opstan node.
This update was focused on making the node easier, smoother, and more comfortable for regular users, miners, node operators, and everyone who wants to support the Opstan network.

Opstan is an independent Proof-of-Work blockchain with a social network built directly into the blockchain.
Users can run a node, mine, send coins, create and read public channels, and use private wallet-to-wallet messages.

What this update is about:

✅ Easier node usage
✅ Better user experience
✅ Improved GUI/wallet flow
✅ More comfortable work with the Opstan network
✅ Better conditions for miners, testers, and community members
✅ More stable base for future development

We invite everyone to download the latest version, run the node, test it, mine, create channels, send messages, and help the Opstan network grow.

Download the latest Opstan node here:
https://opstan.org/download.html

Official website:

Block explorer:
https://opstan.org/blocks.html

Mining pool:

Pool rewards checker:
https://pool.opstan.org/ui/rewards

We are also waiting for community feedback.

If you find any bugs, problems, or things that can be improved, please contact us.
If you have ideas for future updates, features, UI improvements, mining improvements, or anything else — we are open to suggestions.

Opstan is still growing step by step, and every miner, tester, node operator, developer, promoter, and community member is important.

Contacts:

Discord: opstan_7
Telegram: @opstan_admin
X / Twitter: https://x.com/OpstanNews

We welcome everyone who wants to help develop Opstan and support a decentralized Proof-of-Work social blockchain.

Download the update, run the node, test the network, mine, create channels, and join the Opstan community.

Drop source then I will maybe run it

You can contact me through Telegram, by writing to me inside the social network, or by email if that is easier for you.
I think we could potentially cooperate, especially if you are a programmer as well. In any case, you are welcome to test the node and explore how it works.
The source code will be available on the website soon.

What do you think about the idea of a decentralized social network on its own blockchain?

Slowest blockchain that I have ever seen && you would need a faster blocktime to send messages one would think Huh

The goal of this blockchain is not to compete with centralized social networks on speed. If someone only needs fast messages, centralized platforms already exist.

The goal of Opstan is to build a working model of a decentralized social network, where anyone can write freely without being banned, deleted, or censored by a central authority.

Yes, in the future development can improve message speed and user experience. But right now the most important things are decentralization, stability, and security.

Opstan works without a central server or owner. The social network is secured and maintained only by miners, just like a real Proof-of-Work blockchain.

If we simply increase the number of messages and make the block time much faster, the blockchain will grow in size very quickly.

Then the question is: what regular user will be able to store a blockchain that is 100 terabytes in size?

Only large companies, data centers, or a few wealthy groups would be able to run full nodes. And that would bring us back to centralization.

If only a few people, groups, or companies store the blockchain, then the network becomes easier to control, influence, or censor.

Opstan is trying to do the opposite. The blockchain must stay realistic for normal users, so anyone can download the full blockchain, start mining, and help secure the network.

That is what creates real decentralization: not just fast messages, but a network that ordinary people can actually run, store, and protect.

I have to admit, you make some good points, and after checking out Opstan online, it’s clear it’s different from past altcoins that used messages in the blockchain. The only thing I notice is there’s no GitHub.

Yes, we are planning to create a GitHub soon and release the source code, so everyone will be able to study the blockchain in detail, understand how it works, and even build their own versions of the node.

If you are interested, you can also contact us directly. We would be happy to explain the Opstan project in more detail, answer your questions, and you are welcome to join our team and help with development, testing, promotion, or community growth.

That worked Cool Thanks. I thought the chain had forked or something because the block explorer showed 19168 to 19196, but then I realized it was just a solo miner Cheesy
