Also do you think this will expose me having Bitcoin? I am using my PC in my private room.
The tastes of collectibles sometimes do not make sense to ordinary people. You have ever seen a collection of paintings that some people wonder what they are for and others think have incalculable value. Likewise with "physical Bitcoin" some people view the value of the collection as a priceless souvenir and is a real Bitcoin concept, and can be said to be a gift edition of the technological era and a valuable collection, so "physical Bitcoin" is one of the most valuable forms of value for them, maybe in the future we don't know how much a physical Bitcoin collection will cost, it could be an antique whose value is incalculable.

The idea behind collectibles is great as such collectible items can increase in their values with time while BTC attached in such collectibles will increase in value with time too as we know that Bitcoin can grow very well in years. However the risk is if the owners, the companies behind collectibles might turn to be scammers and claim those coins in the future. Like yogg did years ago.

Guys I am curious about those Bitcoin coins 🪙
I want to ask what are you using them for? I have a gaming PC and I am thinking maybe I should get few and use them to design my PC built.
Also do you think this will expose me having Bitcoin? I am using my PC in my private room.
I would use it to show off to my friends or family but so far I have maintained my privacy and have not even told anyone about how much I hold or even if I hold. I never mentioned, although there had been a little incident or going to be one, because I had given an idea to my cousins that I am into crypto airdrops, so one of them assumed a lot and thought I even held btc, not just that but I have held them since 2018, haha. Anyway, that's a different story. He was wrong but he said this in front of wrong people. I managed that part, but it is really risky to share such things with someone who can't keep a secret haha. Well I can't get these physical coins anywhere in my place so I would not bother but if I happen to see some, I would not think twice but will buy them haha.

The image you have used seems like a physical Bitcoin design. If you are talking about that, then it's just designed for a showcase; it doesn't have any real value. You can design them and print them for sale, but don't compare them with real Bitcoin, which exists only on the blockchain. Unless we are sure what you are referring to, we can't give you the best answer. I can't see any replies from you on this thread.
If you are talking about real Bitcoin, then it's a virtual coin that exists on the Bitcoin blockchain, and you can store it in your own wallet. There are many use cases for Bitcoin; you can spend Bitcoin where acceptable, and you can make borderless transactions without any third-party involvement. Besides that, Bitcoin is lately considered an investment asset, and you may notice even a lot of institutional investors showing their interest in Bitcoin.

That is a collectible, that thing worth as much as the element that make up the collectible.
If i recall correctly some of the collectible have bitcoin private key embedded to the coin but not all of them have that, so be sure to check.
Otherwise, that ain't bitcoin.
I was curious to ask this based on what you have said here about the private key on a coin collectible. If such a collectible has a key embedded on them, do you not think it would be stolen if they use such a wallet? Do you think it is safe to use such collectible with wallet since it has a key for storing of asset? I nask that I may know and please pardon my question.

There is of course risk and 3rd party risk involved. By buying physical bitcoin collectible with embedded private key you're trusting the creator of the collectible and usually you only buy from trustable vendor. I think you can buy only the physical collectible coin and embed the private key yourself if you want security or plan to store your privkey with real bitcoin in there.

It depends. If those physical coins aren't collectibles, you can use them to design your PC. But if they're valuable collectibles, especially if they're made of precious metals or are loaded, they're probably better off hidden.
Also, you might want to try keeping it a secret that you're into Bitcoin. It might attract unnecessary or risky attention. I'm sure you've heard or read somewhere that there are people robbed and hurt for their Bitcoin holdings.

I think going for the coin and embedding the private keys yourself would be better, as third parties too can never be trusted to generate a private key for you just because they made the collectible coin for you. It is not safe and wise, but some people still do it at their own risk. I do not see it as feasible to engage with, I would rather create the private keys myself than buy a coin with already-made keys, or better still, I do not use it at all for my personal safety.

There indeed have been security issues and scams by past makers of collectibles but it hasnt affected the appeal of the 'hobby'. Why does anyone collect anything? its because there is demand for that and a value in doing so from interest and financial reward. Paintings - supply and demand! the demand is high for paintings from famous "past masters" and they are also used as investment tools as well as wealth preservation

Your statement needs to be clarified, Bitcoin only exists on the blockchain. OP is only referring to physical coins which vary whether they are funded or not, measuring the authenticity of such items also varies (original creators usually provide specific measures).

I have a coin like this but it is just for fun in the form of a collection because it is worthless and its condition will remain the same until whenever unless maybe you make it from a valuable material such as gold maybe it will have value but when it only comes from ordinary materials even we only buy less than $1 it will not have any value and only become a display or accessory.
Whether it's identity-disassembling or not seems to go back to usability because if we boast about it too much then it can be identity-disassembling but nowadays I think there are much bigger conditions like when we boast about our portfolios on social media (currently rampant) it will be much more identity-disassembling than just having accessories like this.

Also, everything depends on another thing, which is the value of the coins. If it's common, use it. And if it's valuable, that is, gold, you can still use it. Because if you secretly accumulate bitcoin with DCA for ten years, it will become a much bigger asset than what it will be worth after 10 years. And the less people know about Bitcoin holding, the safer it will be.

I doubt, bro, if it will become an antique because anyone could create as many bitcoin collections as they could. It is not that famous yet, the physical coin I mean, because a painting becomes famous because of the art in it and the artist if he was already famous. But a BTC physical shape can be valuable only if its demand increases. If people love to collect it, while most of us will not buy it because they can't buy it easily and they don't want anyone around them to know that they are in crypto too because of wrench attacks. It is a real threat, bro, you know that, but having something in your private place might not hurt you, so don't be that fearful and enjoy life. If someone wants to have it, they should have it. It would be great if they start creating USBs in this design, where the USB connector will pop up from the coin.

Didn't I just said that the collectibles ain't bitcoin but instead the embedded private key that are inside the collectibles that maybe could contain the real bitcoin and not all collectible have them. I know collectible is not bitcoin by any means, it's as it name implies just a collectible.
