We have seen how a lot of people complain of losing their seed phrase, and that is why keeping your seed phrase safe is extremely important, it’s the master key to your Bitcoin. And If someone gets it, they can take all your bitcoin and If you lose it, all your bitcoin are gone forever.
So as a newbie coming into Bitcoin investment you need to understand this and keep your seed phrase safe and the best way to do that is by engraving or stamping your seed phrase on stainless steel just like the picture above, and the reason why it is seen as the best is because of it’s resistance to fire, water and physical damage to some extent.
So all Newbies should use this method, especially those who are planning on holding for long term, because it’s more safe.

This looks very good and long lasting. In the world of internet scams and hacks where no information stored online is 100% secured, hackers may attack after years and render your lifetime savings at risks. This is why it is good to maintain absolute control of your wallet to be able to own your bitcoin. However designing this engravement may cost a lot of pennies except one will forget the aesthetics and focus on only the information needed to secure.

Have you thought about engraving such and getting it tight under the upholstery right there at the parlour, yeah with only the trusted member of the family (son/wife) allowed to know maybe at old age. This will help them recover all your sweat should anything happen.

Hey dude, stop the negative energy you are bringing already. Here's for beginners and not for PROs who can easily search the forum and find whatever they want at one glance. I'm finding this topic for the first time and it's already helpful, but you want it locked so that it falls down the hell, not the best.

The safety of everyone's bitcoin is important and even more important than the accumulation process. This is a good way of saving the seed phrase and it will last for years unstolen.

It is good to use a metal backup to secure the wallet seed phrase, but it is not every metal back up that are safe because there's no different from using a metal backup and paper.
For a genuine safe backup of the wallet seed phrase, the best option is to go for austenitic stainless steel with grade 316L, which has the potential to resist different stresses or any form of disasters.

That’s the essence of a good poster, you could simply outline the disadvantages that OP fails to highlight such that readers will actually see the advantage to it, not necessarily it must OP who does that. For me there is no clear disadvantage other than it is too expensive and base on OP method of taking somewhere for engraving which definitely exposes the seed phrase, it is better in terms of longevity or in terms of withstanding pressure than the regular paper which is used as a means for back up.

But the truth is this isn’t an upmost protection for once’s seed phrase, you will still need to actually safeguard the seed phrase such that it doesn’t falls into the hands of others, so location to hide the metal is still a very important part of safeguarding one’s bitcoin

I confess that, since I learned about Bitcoin and started dealing with seed phrases and private keys, I had never seen this idea or even considered this possibility. This solution is new to me. Although it's great, I don't think it's a foolproof and secure solution, because the security of your cryptocurrencies rests on no one but you having access to this information. So, it can be carved in wood, in metal, or buried in the backyard; it doesn't matter, as long as only you know how to access it.

I have mine written on a card like paper and hidden in a safe, the only thing that can destroy the seed is water and fire, but such thing hardly happen in my country, also if you have the hardware wallet you still have access to your recovery seed even if the recovery seed that you wrote down get burnt.

You are right, I suggest that in addition to engraving the seed phrase on a metal material, it is good to attach that material to a stationary at home say; you can use the pan as a power house sheet (if the pan is large) or you can attach to the upholstery at the living room. This will allow for the security and access to the seed phrase should anything happen.  The good thing about this metal engraving is that it is fire proof and as long as you carve it well, you will be able to find it anytime you get the pan unlike a book saving where fire can raze and that is all.

Yes, it is actually a very nice development I also liked how the seed phrases are neatly arranged, but the I think the engraved words would be better if tinner than this ones, so people will not be able to notice it easily, like here now it is boldly engraved and this can get people's attention because of the words and the beauty of it, they might be curious to know what it is, but if the engraved words are smaller in size it is going to be difficult for other eyes to see and it will not get attention to that much.

It's ridiculous how some metal sellers are selling this metals for $40 and more, I don't recommend buying this Vs saving money to buy a hardware wallet.

Why not find a metal yourself and carve out the size of a ATM card out of the metal then you sharp object to write your seed phrases on the metal, this won't cost you alot compared to paying for the metal from some companies.

There are punchers and engraving pens that are cheap. Some people just want to remain private and bought washers and punchers or engraving pen separately so that the purpose of the purchase is not know to the seller or anyone. Also steel washers are not expensive either compared to the sites that labeled them as seed phrase backups. But I prefer just the use of paper and pen which will be unnoticeable where I backup the seed phrase. But no natural disaster in the area I am living but my memory is my third backup now which is not recommended. I use passphrase to create different wallets instead.

Its good idea to just buy those tools on their own, so they can print privately, since with this they can make sure that there's no one will get curious to know what they are the worlds or numbers they are engraving on a steel sheet.

Also cost of those tools is provably cheap and they can order it in online shopping apps available in their country.

But yeah each of us have desired way to store our seed phrase and its up for those people to choose what are those convenient or easiest way to secure their wallets.

Be ready to maintain the metal to avoid rust. Moist missed with air causes rust on metal.

Same here, using paper only for storing the seed phrase (multiple copies of course, and not all copies in the same location).

I haven't tried memorizing it like you did though, as I doubt that I could actually remember it over longer period of time. Maybe if I were in my 20s, but now my memory its not what its used to be.

Certainly, the material must be resistant, but what I said was in relation to the care we must take with this information. If the basics aren't done well, these more "extreme" security measures will be useless.

For example, consider the many cases we see of people forgetting their passwords. What was the point of the entire process, from secure storage to creating a strong password, if in the end they lost it anyway?

If the right tools are available and you can use them to write your security phrase by yourself then that would be the safest option. I’m not really sure if such tools are easily available, but if they are then it’s definitely the best way to secure it by engraving or writing it on metal.
