I can agree for Ethereum but the two is not that very old. Sure they are doing better from last time up until now but I am not sure if they can sustain that momentum in the future, especially that AI-based project there when there is a new trend or technology that comes in because the hype can also shift onto it. Maybe Hyper Liquid still has a chance because it is like the home of the meme coins right?

And there is always memes from time to time. Meme coins can also ride trends or hypes of a new technology or almost anything that we can ever imagined. But other than them, I might want to add something from the old altcoins too and tokens. There are plenty of them to choose from.

HyperLiquid isn't the home for memecoins. That's pumpfun. HyperLiquid differs from centralized platforms like Binance and Bybit and there is no KYC to register. Even though they said it is decentralized, it is not end to end decentralized but it has become the go-to place for people to trade because it's actually cheaper to trade there than on CEX that's why it has been growing. Months ago, they added HIP-3 that allowed other projects to build on top of them. One of the many projects that built on top using their HIP (HyperLiquid Improvement Protocol 3) launched a 24/7 market for tradfi assets like Oil, gold, stocks like Coinbase, Nvidia etc. All of them can be traded 24/7 now as opposed to only business trading days that brokers restrict trading to. This post os getting too lomg so I'll stop here.

As for Bitsensor, I don't know much about it but they are #1 AI project in crypto right now and since AI isn't going anywhere in the near future, that's why I added it to my list.

Take gold for example, gold was way in existence before Bitcoin came into play, but the value of Bitcoin has beaten gold tremendously.
Bitcoin value is very volatile, meanwhile Gold value is more stable. That's a little reason that Bitcoin can increase its value faster than Gold. However, Bitcoin price can decrease quickly, too. Just look at the current price, it is far from its ATH in the previous year! Meanwhile Gold value doesn't decrease as significant as Bitcoin value.

I am currently looking for altcoins that could have a good future potential just like Bitcoin, as I plan on buying them to hold into the future for great future profit.
I have no idea about this. I don't see any altcoin that has the same characteristic as Bitcoin. I only can consider Bitcoin as the safest crypto coin for holding a long term. Meanwhile altcoins, they are better to hold for shorter time of period. Altcoins are more difficult to predict, they also can be dead coins if they experience big problems. So, it is too risky to hold altcoins for a long term.

I honestly can't be too confident on any alt or meme coin because they have that reputation of falling more than they rise, and they don't survive the market for long because of the way they are wired, but if you are hell bent on investing in any alt coin that can be profitable on the longer run, then I would only recommend BNB, because of those backing it.
And secondly, during this fall of Bitcoin from 124k to it current price, which is almost 50% fall if am not mistaken, BNB has still not fallen more than 40% unlike other alt and meme that has gone down to the abyss.
So what am trying to say is that the most reliable alt coin to invest in right now is BNB, don't argue, just look at it facts.

You can find altcoins that will give you higher returns if they are severely undervalued but they are much riskier than Bitcoin. Most altcoins are currently worthless because it takes years for an altcoin to recover when it goes down. Personally, I try to keep about 20% in altcoins for short term and about 80% bitcoin as a long term investment. In some cases I think just buying Bitcoin is a perfectly sound investment strategy. So if you want to invest in some altcoins don't allocate a large portion of your portfolio to them. Buy only the top coins and don't fall into the trap of getting rich quick.

When I started to accumulate Bitcoin before (5 years ago) I also consider investing in altcoins and meme coins. I just pick the popular ones and didn't take time to do my own research. Because I was blinded by hype of the coin and the profit that I can possibly get. It is like gambling, because you can earn huge but can also drain your funds easily.

So for me, it's better to stick to Bitcoin. When it comes to altcoin, choose the well-established. In my portfolio, I have Eth, Sol, Xrp and Bnb. Always dyor to better understand the use case of the specific coin.

There's no such thing as a surefire way to invest in altcoins for the long term the choice is key. Even with the best choices, you never know what will happen with altcoins, so you must accept all the risks and invest accordingly. Investing large amounts that could lead to disappointment doesn't seem very logical in altcoins.
Altcoin developers can't come up with a high profiled project capable of scheduling a more successful future than what Bitcoin has to offer its investors. If anything like that would ever happen which is a fresh currency that would gap btc with so much adoption then it'll hopefully be for a whole new technology, not under the cryptocurrency technology.

You can check on Eth, BNB, Solana. But that is not an investment suggestion because you need to research if that is good for you or not. You can get more suggestion but don't just follow before you research.

You are responsible with your investment decision so be careful if you follow others suggestion. If you can't finds the right altcoin, you can stick to Bitcoin as your main investment.

Having Bitcoin as your investment and don't have altcoin is enough for you. You can hodl Bitcoin for a long time. Altcoin can gives you profit but you must very selective the coin.

For long term return i think bitcoin is still the best cryptocurrency to hold but don't mean altcoins don't deserved to hold for long term purposes too and currently if you have any plan to bought altcoin instead of bitcoin the option is quite easy because coinmarketcap has been provide the information which altcoins have large marketcap and why i am saying like that because for long term condition only choose the coin with large marketcap because this can guarantee your investment value won't be decrease following years and so far i am confident to says Ethereum is the right coin to hold and the reason is pretty simple that for market capitalized only Ethereum who can near to bitcoin in the second place and this coin have done well because can managed that position for years which other altcoins were unable to do that

To be honest with you.  I would not even consider wasting my time looking for a better alternative to Bitcoin any more.  The first option was and still is Bitcoin.  The second option in my opinion is Monero.  Look it up.  If you want long term gains then stop caring about the 'newest technology' brought by 'Artificial Intelligence', Meme Coins and the rest of the ocean of Shit Coins.

The future is clearly little Privacy and a lot of technology supervising you from all angles.  Monero is against that.  It is pretty much the only really ready Cryptocurrency particularly for what is coming.

Before now, I do advise that people should be more careful about what coins and if possible to stay away from them until the invested on bitcoin before any further consideration, then I have the kind of mentality that they are mostly not reliable to be trusted and our investment could completely go wrong on them, but if we know how we can make thorough search and ensure that we invested right, we could take a good opportunity from anyone we consider and make profit.

No altcoin will be like Bitcoin in the future. And altcoins should not be held long term because altcoins are very risky. So Bitcoin is best for long-term returns. So it would be better to keep most of your money in Bitcoin. And you can invest some amount of money in the top altcoins in the market. But refrain from gambling by investing in shitcoins and memecoins in the hope of high profits. I personally try to keep 90% Bitcoin and 10% altcoins.
