Increase cost of housing in Nigeria - what's the solution?

I will say this issue of housing is something that deserves serious attention because it is among the most important things all humans needs for survival.
Housing is one thing with the greatest concern now because I can't tell why it is constantly increasing in price on daily basis especially in urban areas, I don't know if i will say its because of population increases or the wickedness of humans as i see know reason why landlords will start increasing the prices of houses built 10 - 20 years ago blaming the increment in price of commodities when they did not buy anything  now that the prices of things has increased.
To find i permanent solution to it, i think the price control system should be adopted especially for nations that have an existing structure layed down to help provide solution to it.
