We are actually being affected but not directly war but economic crisis where importation has now reduced and price of fuel/gas still hike over which are actually affecting us. So, to save us from some of the uncalled expenses we should be that mindful on thing we spend on, of course it is way far cheaper cooking at home than eating at the restaurant because you could save more money make it such meal at home without being directly charged more. Of course, there is every needs to have physical cash as a savings at home because there could be an emergency where you would need to use such to sort out immediate and urgent needs.

If you live in a rich country, probably you will never experience deep crisis. The state / government will protect its people.

Which country sir? Public incentives and subsidies don't always work in certain situations.
Last time, during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, even governments across developed countries enacted regulations to restrict mobility. Creating new regulations that change people's daily routines is not a form of protection.

We're not directly affected by the crisis (war) happening in other countries. But it doesn't mean we're excluded on its effect. Because the economic crisis is what our country is currently experiencing. It's really hard if you're earning an average since the price of almost everything went up.

Your tips are good for people who wants to save and need to budget what they're earning for everyday expenses. But I think a single job is not sufficient to cope up in this economic crisis, unless you're earning a decent.

This approach would not be too practical. It will only create more problems such as the costs of relocating, looking at the gas prices now, relocation would be a very bad idea and would likely cost more than shortages in food supplies or whatever you mean by shortages in the local stores. What if that person is currently living near their work area? Then moving out would just make them farther away to say. Besides, you can rely on other agencies or independent businesses that can get you what you need.

Most countries government is doing something like that, they're trying their best to shift most sectors to work from home and mostly they're trying to shifty education sector to work from home since now it's easy to get educated online with the help of distance learning and with the app of platforms like zoom. I believe the governments know that in coming weeks or months, there will be a crisis and that's why they're trying their best to setup that work from home model.

When you do saw that your eating on outside or those restaurants is slicing up a big chunk into your salary then it would be ideal that you should be cutting off those expenses and would be best that you would be cooking at home instead. There are just really those wife that doesnt know how to cook or they are just that lazy on doing so.

This would be only applicable into those who are just working and their home is just nearby but still there are those people who doesnt want to walk considering that once you do reached out on your workplace and ending up on having that sweat all over and thats something that other people doesnt want or simply just that also lazy on doing it too. lol

3. This should be that default. Its always important that you do always have emergency funds on which it could be used for hospitalization, when you do lose up your work and other unexpected things to happen on which you would be able to sustain yourself once you do have a fund which is allocated for this purpose. Its something that would really be that so important but majority do really fails on allocating an emergency fund. They would only realize its importance when you are already on the situation.

To start eating at home, people have to buy things in bulk, and they will save more than they think. But I don't think people order because it is about money, they know it is expensive, they are not idiots but they still pay for it because they don't have time for cooking, and managing kitchen, and storing all the ingriedients, they are so busy in their work, they make good money so they can order but that's definitely not healthy.

Money is everything. It controls us. Whatever we do is because we have it, if we don't have it or won't have enough, we would be forced to walk to work or cycle.

Transportation is very high on this side. I have avoided physical meetings. Online spaces like Google Spaces, Discord, and Slack do the meeting job for me. The luck I hard few years ago is to transition from a physical job to a remote job.

Yeah, that's right. Buying things in bucks is the best way to go through the crisis. The rich who can afford things no matter the cost still practise this method so that other money will shift into more investment.

Yes, this should be basic things someone with good financial planning would do because I don’t think only economic crisis should be the reason why someone would implement all this, on a normal day you’re suppose to have your emergency funds intact, prepare food yourself and eat healthy at home and also be cautious about unnecessary expenses on transport, emphasis on the emergency funds because you might never know when you’ll need them..

One thing I see about the list and suggestion you made above is how to save cost and not how to survive crises. When there are real-life crises in a country, which I don't pray for anyone to experience, you will be talking about how to safeguard the lives of your family and loved ones and how to operate not to get consumed by the crisis.

It's those who are in a safe zone that will be thinking about how to save cost and money. It's important, but not in the way one will put too much effort and concern over protecting their life.

It's when crises have been managed that you can start calculating how to manage the money you have with you and how it could end up serving you for a long period of time, and reducing places you visit and public appearances will be one of the best options.

With or without crisis, emergency funds should always be secured. That way, we can be prepared what the future holds, especially if we have kids to raise and ensure that they won't be struggling when future crisis comes.

The other of the coin is very much difficult, the battle of survival had never still been won. It's easier talking about investment when survival battles had been won.

None of these things should be reserved for a crisis, it should all be done in preparation long before a crisis and where you have the ability. There will be many places, especially in America, where you don't have the choice but to commute to work or it is far too long to travel via other means. Eating at home should really be a regular occurrence anyway and it should be a treat to eat out, I don't know any culture that eats out that often but maybe I'm uninformed. The world goes through cycles of boom and bust, which always tend to come in a new form. However the real winners will be those with some reserve funds who are ready and unafraid to pounce on investment opportunities that happen in the middle of corrections or recessions - try to be ready for those moments as they can often be short lived but give you big gains.

It's still best to have a mindset to prepare everything before anticipating a crisis is going to happen. Work hard and work smart to make most of living, and be more practical to stick with necessities and disregard the unnecessary ones, and lastly, save a lot while you can, not all the time we can be at our best health. This is not just to combat the future crisis, but to ensure everything will be fine when retirement comes.

All of these should not only be a guide during a crisis, but we should be doing all of these to prevent from a crisis to occur. What I am telling everyone is that we should practice all of these while trying to navigate our everyday living, not just in time of crisis.

However, I appreciate OP's effort to come up with some tips. But I think what's the most important thing is, we should not allow ourselves to be jobless, but should continue to make a living even with a small but consistent income. Because when there is no money, its hard to survive most especially when crisis happens.
