I just (yeah, literally JUST now) had a random thought and it makes sense in my head.

So, the thing is do you feel that there is no manipulation when you make sports bets compared to when you play casino games?

No matter how I convince myself that there is no manipulation and sports or in casino games, the cynical mind of me thinks that there is a possiblity that sports matches are manipulated and the casino games is, too.

In my observation, there are casinos games that looks like being manipulated due to the pattern of how it make the player lose.  Like in some casino games, if we happen to have a good tumble in the first few spins in the bonus round, the following spin will be a dead spin and not a single hit after those good hits in the bonus round.

While in sports, it is much harder to tell, especially when the player is good at acting.  Regardless, it has been proven by certain reports that sports is susceptible to manipulation.

I don't fully trust either, but what can we do, if we are suspicious about their manipulation, we have to prove it.  Sadly, it is hard to prove with our limited knowledge and resources.

I have said this before and I will still say it again, that sport bet is more preferable to Gambling on casino games or slot and roulette. Why this happens is simply because sport bet is like an open game that is seen and understood, you view your progress from beginning to the end and you will realize the places you did well and places you didn't do well. It is just like, a teacher marking your answer sheet according to your efforts and coming into conclusion to your latest grade which you see everything crystal clear, but in casino, it is like the teacher told you that you have failed exam without showing you procedure on how you come about that result.

One could say that if a platform is trusted, the games can be trusted as well, but to be honest, there is no doubt that there can be no cheating by a sportsbook when it comes to a sports bet, because as you said, everything is crystal clear, you make the bet, if you win it, they have to pay you the winning amount, but a casino can surely do cheating using games that are not provably fair, because they can decrease the winning odds for the gamblers and make everyone lose more than they win, and eventually make more revenue.

I think there is no manipulation is sports betting because these are two teams that wants to win and get a point so the games are real compared to some casino games that can be manipulated. Sports events like football is being played live in the stadium, both teams are playing against each other and you can watch how they play, most of the mistakes occurs naturally and not intentional. They are so real as you watch them either live or through a smartphone. Casino games are more of guesses, even if they are not manipulated but those are the real lucky games in gambling.
