As for LTC, I don’t think support for it from miners and enthusiasts will wane, but we shouldn’t expect massive interest in LTC. In fact, the only ones who can create hype around LTC right now are institutional investors, if they suddenly decide to buy up ETFs. But unfortunately, that isn’t happening yet.

I agree, the miners will stay because if it's still profitable for them then they shall stay.

But the interest of the many is decreasing and I think most of the investors who have been so enthusiastic about it are only looking at its price.

Even with so much things happen surrounds it like a halving, it doesn't changes the interest that people puts in it anymore.

Litecoin is losing some popularity now than in the past, as the price of Bitcoin is decreasing, the price of all other coins is being dumped. Because everyone is now moving towards trusted coins, because at present people are moving towards those coins that have gained trust. It's all doesn't matter. Even litecoin whale already sold all of his litecoin due to the how uncertain this project is. His porto is always going down instead of moving up. This abandoned coin is a zombie coin. No utility, no proper development, and it's still exist due to its believers.

As for the gap price between market and price tag, i think it's just an oracle problem. It's already fixed and moonpay price is already following the market.

I've been watching LTC for a while too. Not an easy call right now.

Technically, it's struggling below key MAs, and volume isn't great. Could it see $70 again? Maybe — but probably not without a broader market recovery first.

That said, LTC has survived multiple cycles. It's not dead, just quiet. People haven't forgotten it — they're just focused on other narratives at the moment.

Not the most extreme case though. At least LTC is rather popular as a payment method.
Something like ADA or BCH on the other hand, whilst having twice higher FDV than Litecoin, aren't used for anything at all.

Actually LTC is interesting in the sense that its longer MAs are quite stable since the early 2020s. The spot price in contrast swinged extremely in 2017/18 and 2021 but then has returned to a stable slight uptrend near the baseline (~$40-80) with sporadic spikes in bull markets over $100.

This could indeed be the effect of its usage as a "transactional coin", people use it like a prepaid card to circunvent high Bitcoin fees if they want to pay things with crypto. Not a bad idea I think - if LTC continues with this slight uptrend, people doing that do not lose anything. The transaction count is also stable at between 150,000 and 200,000 per day, about half of the transactions recorded on Bitcoin.

It's not about "will it do good?" because answer would be yes, and if you look at the four year trend then you will see something good. But the thing is that will it to better than most other places? That is the real question to ask and if we are not careful then we would make a lot of loss.

If an investor is looking for a low-volatility alt with long-term growth potential, LTC might be of interest to them. However, as you correctly pointed out, there are plenty of other alts on the market that could outperform Litecoin by a much wider margin over the same period. In fact, LTC can only be an interesting investment if you find the right entry point, i.e., literally at the bottom and right before the rally begins.

Unless there's a fundamental event causing a big sell-off of LTC, it will bottom the moment the market bottoms, in which case it will still make 0 sense to invest in it as it will always ve an underperforming asset even though it will go up with the market and has lower chance of going to zero than most altcoins.

Litecoin future depends on its ETF approval and Bitcoin market dominance. So I think if the price is above $80 it will be in favor of the bulls. Again, consider the network effect of this project institutional acceptance, developer activity and unique technical capabilities, then you will see that Litecoin is far behind in every respect. So all in all Bitcoin is the best investment and it can make you rich. If there is nothing to increase the demand for a coin then there is no point in getting your hopes up. Honestly, I don't have Litecoin in my wallet so I don't want to give you too much hope.

Litecoin was build in 2011 and P2P it still does pretty good. LTC is like a temporary stablecoin running on DEX.

But how do you spot those coins which go up? (Of course there's one clear case: Bitcoin ).

It is currently quite consensus that most altcoins stall or decline after 4-8 years. This effect can be explained easily because eventually the ICO participants and the founders who got the coins almost for zero will dump. And in contrast to mined coins the premined part of the coins is enormous in comparison to the total supply. Even in old coins like Ethereum.

The biggest opportunity is thus to find coins which 1) are very new and promising and 2) escape the "altcoin decline" rule for some reason (e.g. Tron, XRP). But you have to be lucky to find these, and the opportunities are smaller and smaller.

So in many cases it's not a bad idea to simply stick to solid coins with some potential for upside.

I disagree that it is better than Lightning. It is completely different, even if you even can achieve similar privacy with MWEB. But it is not instant and the blockchain will also hit a TPS ceiling if it's used much more than now. This TPS ceiling is 4 times higher than for on-chain bitcoin, but it is still too low for a really massive adoption by hundreds of millions of users without L2s.

In a world where Bitcoin becomes really mass adopted, though, it is possible that this becomes an opportunity for LTC too, as some kind of "payment layer". See the sidechain concept that was discussed some pages ago.
