My account was stolen ant the account banned

Hi,

there has been a leak of passwords in the past and my account was stolen, ilpirata79.

It was used once, I think, to make a scam, then it was banned.

Before that it was owned by me and all was legit, as you can see.

I think the associated email is the same and still under my control.

Is there a way to regain access? I didn't really do anything wrong.

Your account hasn't been banned, so if you say you have access to your email, you can restore access to your account yourself.

Yes, that's the account. I supposed it was banned since I saw some users complain it being a scammer. I tried to regain access through the email but nothing (of which I am not sure).

I decided to start using it again for sentimental reasons and maybe to get information that help me reconstruct some parts of my btc accounts' history, should I need it in the future.

Your account hasn't been banned, so if you say you have access to your email, you can restore access to your account yourself.

I am not receiving any emails, I think the scammer changed the email to one of their own. I don't know if maybe the previous email can be restored then I should be able to proceed...

4 DT members have tagged your account with negative feedback.
Once you get access to your account, you will be able to post, but as long as those tags are on your trust page, no one will trust you.

This may not be a big issue if you don't want to engage in activities that require others to trust you.

Since 2016 that your account was suspected of scamming and got red tags, it's been 10 years and you are coming up now to ask for a recovery. You ain't serious because if you are you would have abandoned the account since the person that stole it (according to you) has already used it to scam (from the negative feedbacks). The account is a Senior Member rank so you can just start making posts with your new account and build back the reputation you had in the past.

I don't really think I will push forward any real world activity.  And I do remember sending bitcoins a lot of years ago on a guy on this forum to start a mining enterprise i don't remember where; he obviously stole all the btcs, mine included.

Moreover, I have been occasionally tried to log in here, just to see what was going on, but kept getting error on the password and not email for the recovery, so I was just giving up any time, since it was not really necessary to me to post anything. As I said it's for sentimental reason and maybe to brag I was already here in 2013.

It will be hard to prove that the account was stollen. Why didn't you raise alarm immediately you noticed that the account was hacked so that the appropriate actions can be taken to frustrate the effort of whoever hacked it from attempting to scam with that account? On the other hand, you have access to the email tied to the account, the moment you noticed that the account was hacked, you would have used the email to recover the account from the hackers. Now there are 4 red tags on the account and there is no way to prove that it was not you who genuinely earned those red tags.

If you care so much about the account and want to brag that you've been in this forum since 2013 then you can recover it yourself since you said that the email you attached to the account is still in your possession. If you can't recover it yourself then you will need to follow the recovery procedures and sign a message with any of your old address that you have used in this forum in the past.

If he had spoken up when the issue happened, he probably would've gotten a pardon from those DT members after they had accessed his claims and found truth in it but leaving it only to come back 10 years later to ask about the same account makes it almost impossible for them to consider removing the tags. Well, since he doesn't care about the tags, that's okay, but I wonder what use will the account be to him now.

Even if he spoke then, there wouldn't necessarily be a pardon rather much investigation would have been carried out then which is much easier then, in order to verify Op claim.

Also, it is hard to believe that Op was among the scam victim then, like he stated in this thread but then taking 10years before now trying to get redemption.

The thing is, there's no way to prove if the account was stolen before or you didn't use it for scamming. You can blab about it that it was hacked/stolen but there's no way that even admins will be able to know that. I don't think the DT members will remove those tags anyway unless you want to pay the scammed amount that you think the scammers have done using your account.

He can read and learn about it after recovering his account successfully or even without that account recovery. Because his account was not banned, so he is allowed to use the forum with another account if he wants.

Only if you recover your account successfully and can prove that these bad activities did by person who stole your account, and you did not do such activities in the past.

This topic isn't going to get you your account back. The only way to recover it, is by following instructions in Recovering hacked/lost accounts. Convince them it's yours by signing a message.
