Update:

Just right now, noticed from Cointelegraph, Apple removed a fake Ledger app that stole $9.5M from crypto investors. That means, due to the fake apps, holders lost $9.5M. But the question is who should take the responsibility? Apple couldn't ignore their responsibility since they approved those apps. But I think Apple will be freed from the trap of terms, and holders will lose it forever.

According to the news, almost 50 users lost the funds, and three users lost big funds. We have to learn the Apple Store doesn't mean all software there is trusted. Shouldn't trust anything related to funds blindly; we have to verify if they are fake or real. The scammer 'SAS Software Company' used a 'bait-and-switch strategy' to place their apps/software on the Apple Store. I will write more details about it on a new thread from where everyone should learn.

they will find ways to twist the rules and get out of it without dirt on their hands. or maybe they will pay up for it - but not to the ones that lost their funds.

After it has done it's  damage  Tongue . Doesn't  this verification  involves verifying directly from Ledger board /team before approval ? If not , i wonder what's the essence  of the whole verification thing in the first place. Microsoft did same thing, approved similar garbage application which turns out to be a drainer[/quote].

Apart from TOS, the law is also protect them. Check my post about that: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5580115.msg66617290#msg66617290
They will always get away with every of their mistakes even if it cost millions  in damage to others , so far the law protect them .

I will repeat  it again: The process of verifying through  the official  site and also verifying the downloaded application before installation won't  take ages so why blindly trust them ?.
