I think investing in companies building on top of MSC is a far more productive way to reduce my % of MSC held than burning it. It attracts people to our ecosystem, which is good for everyone holding MSC.
True. If the liquidity goes up it will be a better plan. Can I get a clarification on if you need Mastercoin to trade smart property for smart property or if it's specific like ones that associated to fiat like usdcoin. If it's for all that is a gamble on it could drive the price up for Mastercoin or it will drive people away because like I said earlier an extra step could really subconsciously drive people away. |

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hey,
I would like to know more info about the burning idea
if JR owns 30 percent of coins, and intends to keep most of them ,theoretically, in the future, JR could be owning over 75 % of total coins as all other mastercoins (not belonged by him,are burned), i would like to know how JR plans on stopping this from happening
will JR be burning his coins

After getting fucked on Mastercoin IPOs in the past (MaidSafe), people don't want to participate in scams that use Mastercoin as a fundraising platform. Too risky. The guys doing the fundraiser might just change the rules and declare 'it was the only fair thing to do' and then people will lose a shitload of money - yet again. Ain't nobody got time for that. People don't trust MasterCoin any longer. Why would they? I sure the fuck don't. I don't want to suffer another huge loss due to last minute changes in the rules. The whole thing is a fucking scam. Mastercoin whales like brock pierce get to make tons of money by tricking guys like Irvine into these scammy rules. I think NXT is better. Seems like the only way to get funds to fundraising is to accept mastercoins so people can dump their coins. Got about 100 of my mastercoins into Maidsafe instead, and I'm pretty happy about that, at least right now. |

Many thanks api network has raised a whopping 1.1 btc in the last 24 hours. That is how much the mastercoin foundation goes through in 3 hours. Poor marketing by david or curtis? Bad idea? Maybe, just maybe, mastercoin's reputation is tarnishing the crowdsales on the network? Curtis, if you are listening, you may want to move the crowdsale to another network. You can't get much worse then this. |

I'd love to invest in this one. It is an awesome idea. The only trouble is, once I give my $50,000 they will simple change the rules so Brock Pierce and other MSC whales can put another huge chuck of money in thier pockets. Why should I lose another $50,000 because MasterProtocol thinks it is OK to change the rules in the middle of the deal? No thanks. If you think the API Network failure has anything at all to do with the quality of the project - you'd be wrong. It has everything to do with a fundraising platform that can be manipulated to take money from one group and give it to another group - ' in the name of fairness' according to David Irvine. Fucker. I seriously doubt ANY project will ever successfully fund on MasterProtocol again. |
