With this much money at stake, of course people will want a piece of the stake. It is not about the launch, but about the future of it.

If nothing goes wrong, if Elon stays alive (while he has absolutely zero input on the ships and he doesn't work on it and there are brilliant engineers who work for him that makes this possible he is the one getting the money from the government), then this company will grow.

So while profit is not the first and foremost importance and space exploration and progress is, the money will be there.
