We cannot have the Bitcoin network manipulated because of wheels and their presence being eminent in the market, the market still remains volatile and this does not have to do with whether they are conscious of what is going to be the market performance at a particular time or not, because Bitcoin will always remain a volatile currency. The shift could be in any direction, depending on the season we find ourselves in; therefore, we should not view whales as the major manipulator of the market or as centralizing the market.

Are we back in 2017-2018? OP, you are asking questions that were asked 8-9 years ago. Just search around the older forum threads and you will find answers. BTC decentralization has nothing to do with the Bitcoin price. Bitcoin is as decentralized no matter if the BTC price is 100K dollars or 1 dollar. The Bitcoin market is more mature than ever and I don't believe that a bunch of crypto whales selling their BTC would cause anything more than a really small and temporary price drop. OP, you have a Full Member forum account, which means that you are not a Newbie. Why are you asking newbie questions?

For almost all holders of BTC, the only thing they care about is the price. People buy Bitcoin so they can sell it later at a profit, period. It stopped being a toy that tech people played with at least 8-9 years ago, so maybe you should check in to the forums a little more often*. Today, BTC's price is Bitcoin, so if the price is manipulated by whales, then Bitcoin is manipulated by whales.

Imagine discussing the manipulation of silver that occurred in the 1980s by the Hunts and some pedant's response was, "but that's impossible since silver is a metal and it cannot be manipulated by anybody and it will always be that same metal no matter what you do to it bla bla bla".

(* I'm intentionally being a little bitchy in this post because the poster here was a bit rude imho).
