I have been thinking about something that i noticed in many people around me who gamble. May be u have noticed it too.

It was that a lot of gamblers get stuck waiting for that one lucky break. They convince themselves that one big win will change everything. So they keep pushing and keep betting.

Well I think you're speaking from your experiences and what you have encountered though this depends on the individual involved because some people actually gamble just for fun and entertainment not really for profit making so they don't care if their win or lose neither be hoping for a miracle to come their way so they could win a substantial amount of money and become rich overnight or be chasing looses so as to recoup all their losses as well.

As a gambler once you have made up your mind to be gambling you are open to loosing your time, money and energy because you must give in your time and money and attention to it . So I think it most preferable for gamblers not to depend too much on gambling for survival that way they won't be hoping for too much miracle to win and we should try as much as possible to bet what we can afford to loose and have a budget in order to curtail our gambling habits.

If they are not wasting money on gambling and not addicted to gambling, that means you are only overthinking it. I know some people in my street that take around $0.7 to $0.8 to gamble almost every week and it is parlay with life time fortune. Most of them are losing but they can afford to the money.

I'm not looking for a miracle anymore to stop, since a lot of bad decision happen to me just because want the miracle come to me. Most of the time, I bet small amounts, and I can still enjoy the games. The time consuming are slot games, but if you know how to control them and have a time limit set for yourself, then I guess you won't find any trouble.

Couldn't agree more. If you intentionally want to gamble, always prepare yourself to lose your money and time. But its never necessary to lose big in gambling, if we can make it small and limited amount. If we can still enjoy with minimal amount of money and time, that would be so much better.

However, we can't stop other people if they want to risk more of their money and time. They can afford those losses, so I don't see an issue there. Gambling will only be a big problem if you force yourself into gambling while you are broke and emotionally unstable.

I don't actually know the reason why people do take gambling as a personal issues or problems upon themselves. I've spent time gambling... but read carefully: I said time SPENT is not time LOST.
It Is time I spent having fun, consciously and responsibly. Time that was good for me, that I played knowing the consequences and played without guilt. This is very different from most people who are addicted and get lost in gambling.

I highly doubt that you are smiling and laughing during most of your plays, notably when you are losing money. Mostly you seem to be very well on point... OP may have only seen gambling from one perspective that's why he/or she thought of it that way... Folks who aren't greedy or addicted in any way will know the risk of going in with large sum if money and as so they will make use of lesser amount and so even when the money/time goes it dosen't look like any kind of loss coz they as well benefitted from the entertainment they derived while gambling... And so being expectant of a miracle while gambling the proper way isn't a kind of loss..
