I’ve been working on a blockchain (https://grahambell.io/) design where Proof-of-Work is deterministically capped at ~1 hash/sec per node, enforced at the protocol level.

The goal is simple:

- Remove hardware advantage
- Neutralize parallel mining
- Make every participant operate at the same speed

In this model:

- A phone, laptop, or ASIC all mine at the same rate
- Increasing hash rate beyond the cap → gets rejected
- Work cannot be shared or combined across nodes

I’ve built a browser-based demo to show this in action.

You can literally:

- Increase hash rate → see rejection
- Try to tamper → see validation fail
- Mine → observe rule enforcement live

Try the MVP (no setup, browser based local client): https://grahambell.io/mvp/ProofofWitness.html

This post focuses only on capped PoW enforcement.

How parallel scaling is structurally limited, and how Sybil identity accumulation is made slow and costly, I’ll break that down in future posts.

If this direction is interesting:

Would appreciate any technical feedback or critique.
