Most people, particularly those who invest using their spare cash, will not be able to get to 1 BTC in a short period of time. It's not about getting to 1 BTC as fast as you can, it's about building up your funds without burning yourself out. If you can't afford a DCA payment due to an emergency, it's better than borrowing money to keep up a target. Bitcoin is dynamic and may not be able to be considered a quick get-rich scheme, so patience, realistic expectations and financial discipline are better than looking for a set timeframe. If you can save a little over the course of a few years, it's worth something!
Even if you are in a long term Bitcoin plan, I can almost guarantee that you will succeed in investing. To reach 1 BTC, you will have to go through a rigorous investment exercise. In contrast I would advise you to accumulate Bitcoin regularly without set target of 1 BTC. Do not create stress in your daily financial activities. If you aim for 1 BTC, you will create financial stress and will be more likely to make emotional decisions. It is possible to become rich through Bitcoin if you evaluate this asset properly and accumulate regularly over the long term.

There is nothing wrong in someone setting a target to accumulate one Bitcoin I mean it is possible but it all depends on one's capacity, how much are you making a week, month? If one can make more than $50k either of thees,.. or a bit below then the goal is very realistic yea, but it will only become a stress if someone is earning below a hundred dollars a week or month and they have needs that always take away a good percentage of this money that will be very unrealistic.

[edited out]
Actually, neither of your opinions contradict each other and neither is wrong because both are correct. Having discretionary income to gradually buy bitcoin and having determination are both equally important for us to eventually reach 1 BTC in the future.

Because without enough income to accumulate 1 BTC, it might be hard to achieve, especially if your finances are unstable. Likewise, without clear determination, even if someone has a lot of income, they still won’t be able to reach 1 BTC because it’s easy to panic, especially when facing a bear market.

So it can be said that both need to complement each other because a stable income will determine how quickly we can gather 1 BTC, and a strong determination also determines whether we can hold on until the goal is reached, even if it has to be done for 5, 10, 20, or 32 years.

Even though there could be an advantage in frontloading a bitcoin investment, in order to be assured to reach the accumulation of 1 BTC or more, there also could be reasonable ways to work with whatever income a person has and to attempt to be aggressive, so perhaps even a guy who would be investing at $50 per week, he could maybe strive to increase his income and to control his expenses so that each year he could strive to increase his bitcoin investment amount by anywhere between 5% to 10%, so maybe the first few years, he is able to achieve a 10% increase each year, so year 1 is $50 per week, year 2 is $55 per week, year 3 is $60.5 per week, year 4 $66.55 per week, year 6 is $73.21 per week, year 7 is $80.53 per week, year 8 is $88.58 per week, year 9 is $97.44 per week, year 10 is $107.18 per week, etc etc etc.

Personally, I think that if a guy is ONLY increasing 10% per year, the bitcoin price is likely going up greater than that, and the guy's income is likely going up less than 10% per year.  So a guy just does his best.  There are also guys who might be young and in the earlier years of their career, so they may well be able to achieve raises and promotions in the coming years, even though it may also be true that the bitcoin prices still might be going up faster than their wage increases, yet that still would not justify their not attempting to make considerable efforts to accumulate bitcoin and having some reasonable way to increase the amount of bitcoin they are buying each week.

A guy who is buying $50 per week into bitcoin would likely never reach a whole bitcoin, even after investing for more than 50 years into bitcoin at that rate, since $50 per week would be $2.6k per year, $26k every 10 years, and $130k after 50 years.  Yet if he increased his investment by 10% per year, then after 25 years, he would have had invested $255.7k, which he might be closer to 1 BTC, even if he still might not end up reaching a whole BTC since I doubt that bitcoin will average less than $255k in the next 25 years.

I personally like Excel spreadsheet to project out various kinds of changing factors that might include attempting to figure out how much my income might go up each year, how much the cost of living might go up each year, how much bitcoin might go up each year, and so there can end up being various scenarios and even various ways to globally change certain variables or to have various scenarios side-by-side one another for comparison purposes.  To the extent that you don't want to create your own spread sheet, quite a bit of these kinds of projections and even changing variables and then maybe even putting the results into a spreadsheet can be done with the assistance of AI too.   It may well be pretty good to know how to change certain variables, but even AI might prompt you into the changing or the adapting of variables you had not previously considered, so instead of being a straight-line projection, you could also have changes of income/expenses at various points along the way (maybe expectations of promotions or other kinds of life events).

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Having a 1 BTC target as your goal is not actually a bad idea . Everyone with their accumulation goal , and you know your years of holding is different from how it took to accumulate to that goal . The common years folks usually hold 5 years and more , and some folks usually meet their bitcoin accumulation before that duration , that doesn’t mean that you are going to sell immediately after reaching your goal. After having your target goal , the next phase is your holding phase .

I think we shouldn't focus on the time it takes to acquire BTC; we should focus on the process of how we approach it. The best way to do this is by taking advantage of dips and having a fixed BTC accumulation plan, not failing, and keeping a close eye on BTC movements.

What I can say is that right now it's feasible to buy BTC. We're in a very good moment to do so. I can't deny that I'd like to buy a lot of BTC on every pullback, every dip; it's the most advisable thing to do. The timing is the least important thing.

Our goal is to buy Bitcoin, maintain a regular purchase continuity and move forward into the future. If an investor feels that much time, he may be deprived of Bitcoin investment, so we must aim to buy Bitcoin as the main plan. We will be able to increase the amount of our discretionary income over time,
so if we invest Bitcoin every week, we will definitely be more successful and our goal will be to maintain a continuity of Bitcoin purchase.

If we buy Bitcoin regularly and considering our capabilities, we will move forward to the future, our goal will be a long-term plan. If we move forward to the future according to the Bitcoin long-term plan, then we can definitely buy Bitcoin by following the DCA method. Because the DCA method attracts investors to buy Bitcoin, so in this situation, we maintain the continuity of buying Bitcoin and move forward from the future with a long-term plan.

Bitcoin has proven itself to be a powerful asset over the long term. That doesn't mean that you'll be successful just by keeping investing. The claim of guaranteed success in investing is actually unnecessary. It's true that if you buy for a long time, stay within your means, and don't panic, it's certainly a good habit. But that doesn't mean that these things will guarantee your success.

Another thing is that an investor doesn't have to be financially stressed just by aiming for 1 Bitcoin. The problem is investing beyond their financial means to meet the goal. If someone can comfortably invest $40 per week, they can buy $40 with a goal of 1 Bitcoin. They don't have to buy $100 or $200 to get 1 Bitcoin quickly.

Sure there's nothing too bad for setting a target to accumulate bitcoin it is very easy but it really rely on one's ability and how much bitcoin you are making in a months even if one is long term planner i really like one to accumulate bitcoin regularly without waiting for the dip before you can start bitcoin investment if your objective is to have 1 bitcoin in a weeks it can put you to be under pressure because you may likely to make a drastic decision of selling to early .

Of course, Bitcoin is a financial force/powerful asset. Those who have understood this are still accumulation and holding and will pull towards a certain goal. If you continue to hold Bitcoin for the long term, the chances of failure are very low. Bitcoin is less likely to succeed for those who do not care about any goal, their only goal is to make a profit. Things should be ensure success. Just accumulate Bitcoin regularly.

If an investor accumulation Bitcoin regularly by $40 per week he will get $2.8k Bitcoin in a year and if he can do one cycle regularly, his Bitcoin accumulation will be $8.32k which may seem very insufficient. But do not be discouraged. If you can buy Bitcoin aggressively during the DIP period through salary/earnings increase or bonus funds or funds from other sources of income, it is possible to increase this amount in 4 years. Although I think it is not easy for some to expect to get 1 Bitcoin, but if you try, it is not impossible to achieve.

You made a mistake.  $40 per week for 52 weeks is $2,080 for the year, but your 4 year amount is correct as $8,320... and then by 10 years it would be $20,800, even though you are also correct that many folks might be able to increase their discretionary funds by increasing their income and/or decreasing their expenses, and surely younger people might also be able to get promotions if they don't get stuck in a dead-end job.. .which yeah, some jobs are dead end and some kinds of skills are dead end, if guys are always working low paying jobs - there can be advantages in increasing skills and sometimes figuring out ways to get training to do higher skill (higher pay) work.

While setting a plan don't forget about having your discretionary income, because when there is no discretionary income, it will not be possible to ongoingly invest. The thing about setting a target and having a plan to work with is that it can make person to to be focused about investing, but when there is no money left after your necessary expenses, investment plan cannot work and that plan has already become useless.

That is why the first thing person should figure out their discretionary income, then plan their investments based in their cashflow. The plan should be realistic, they should pressure themselves much.

Yes, that's the best option. We can't let ourselves be driven by panic; we have to have a clear objective. Accumulating BTC is the long-term goal. We can't depend on anything else, as long as we always have savings or investment options. The DCA for BTC adapts and meets our needs. We'll always be making our investment there, without interrupting other activities. Just seeing the price now makes it very attractive to keep buying.
