I’d like to know, do you still think Bitcoin is too expensive right now considering that many people were willing to bid lower in that old thread? And don't you believe Bitcoin will exceed $1 million? Share your thoughts as well.
Well, to be honest with you, I've made that mistake of considering bitcoin to already be too expensive way back when the price was still way cheaper below $1000 and I still regret that mistake till today.
Between 2016/2017, the price of bitcoin was below $1000 but instead of me investing in it, I choose some shitty cheap alt coins instead because I felt the price of bitcoin was too expensive, but unfortunately, a few years later, the price of bitcoin grew exponentially while most of those altcoins disappeared from the market.

So this is also my advice to newbies, it's not bad to diversify but keep atleast 85% to 90% of your portfolio in bitcoin and dont ever think or believe the price is currently too expensive, bitcoin will continue to grow before some other altcoins join, and this is because bitcoin still have a major share of the market cap, making whatever happens with bitcoin affect the rest of the market.

But it seems on that time is no one will expect that the bitcoin price surge on its current price right now so people still ignored bitcoin and imagine its 50$ that time it was huge for others but imagine right now if someone will sell their bitcoin at that price for sure most of the people will get hurry and flood your inbox just to give you an offer but of course no one is dumb to do that thing right now. Its just like a demand for bitcoin so this is the factor too why many people wanted to make an investment with the alts because of this kind of happened with Bitcoin.

It always seem unrealistic until it starts getting there and people buy with fomo, that is and has always been the reality of Bitcoin,
Imagine knowing that bitcoin has the capability to to reach $1m in future, will you even consider how expensive it is?

As a matter of fact you don't even have to buy 1full Bitcoin, you can that's buying little buy little and accumulate. The truth is that there are still a huge amount of investors that do not still believe in Bitcoin's potential, but it is natural after all no one can see the future, I guess things will definitely changed if one can see the future, but that is the challenge of life. At least try be a part of the unknown and just hope it goes well, let your perspective Change, rather explore instead of making money.

Perhaps some of you don’t know that Bitcoin was once that cheap per coin. And if you look up Bitcoin’s all-time low on Coinmarketcap you’ll see it was around $0.04 (Source). But Bitcoin’s price has actually been lower than that. In an old thread you can see that an early user once auctioned off 10k Bitcoin with an opening bid of $50. And if at that time someone had bid around $51 or even $60 then they would have gotten Bitcoin at a much lower price. But the auction ended without anyone placing a bid. I think that at the time many people still didn’t believe Bitcoin would become so valuable. And perhaps that’s how people feel who think Bitcoin is already too expensive. But I personally would never consider Bitcoin too expensive given that its performance so far has far exceeded the predictions of early adopters.

Not just any how lesson but a life time lesson, because this is one of the reasons why many late comers are trying to find the next bitcoin and they keep failing at it. Because no other coins is ever going to be like Bitcoin, it's a big opportunity missed.

I wasn't this early to Bitcoin, I found Bitcoin in it's 100s not as cheap as this but i feel bad not seeing it at this 0.0065 because I doubt I would just fold my hands and do nothing, and for the fact that it's this cheap? C'mon now.

I never expected Bitcoin to be this big when I was a newbie but been this cheap would make it easier to buy some good amount and play around with it, it's also possible that I could have lost it all, there is no point blaming myself for missing it. Life goes on.

We cannot turn back the hands of time therefore there is nothing we can do about lost opportunities in the past although we can reflect on them sometimes but we should move on and think about what we can achieve now. Bitcoin was less than 1 dollar in it's early days and many of us missed out, today it is less than $100k and people are still missing out, I think that a lot more people will continue to miss out until Bitcoin will reach $1million.

Unlike the early stage of Bitcoin creation when it was very affordable some people will give excuse today that 1 Bitcoin is beyond their reach, such people should know that they don't have to afford 1 Bitcoin to hold Bitcoin they can buy in sats according to what they can afford and gradually increase their Bitcoin.

Do you know why no one wanted to buy 10k BTC at that time? In the first 4 years the block reward was 50 BTC and everyone could mine with their own computer. In those 4 years, as much as 50% of all BTC was mined.

Therefore, your story is not something to be surprised about - BTC was cheap, there were millions of it, and very few people knew it existed.

The price of Bitcoin has been able to come from such a low level to the current level and the current level was not the last stage of Bitcoin, but Bitcoin had touched its highest record, although the Bitcoin market is now in a bit of a dump. However, there is no guarantee that the market will not change several times more in a few years from the level at which the market is now. We may not be giving importance to Bitcoin yet or we may not think that the price of Bitcoin can increase further, but if we wait, we will see that we will regret this time that we had the opportunity then but we did not use that opportunity.

The price of Bitcoin was very low at one time, many of the current generation do not know this and do not even try to know, but they pay more attention to the future. However, I think that every user should know about the past of Bitcoin and do good research about the Bitcoin market. According to the past situation and those who said that the price of Bitcoin will not increase in the future, they regret it a lot now.
We have already noticed that the way the price of Bitcoin has come forward in the present and the way it has increased compared to the past, it will be more valuable in the future. I think the price of Bitcoin is still low at the present time because if you think about the future, there is no doubt that it will definitely reach $1 million, so it is best to invest and hold it. Currently, most people are keeping Bitcoin as their digital asset for long-term investment, which will give them freedom in the future.

Life is full of opportunities and some have already witnessed this in the past that they take advantage of it while some never take it serious to see it as an opportunity, but today we all see the difference between those that can take the risk and those that are not willing to afford taking a risk on anything they see, bitcoin is what we can never get tired of because it will always appreciate in value for us as long as we have invested, the entire process is done conveniently without any stress to how we could maximize profit in it.

It explained why there was a trade of 10,000 bitcoins for 2 pizzas. Laszlo Hanyecz explained why he stopped trading bitcoins for pizzas when his computer mined less bitcoins over months.

Did Laszlo Hanyecz exchange 40000 BTC for 8 pizzas, not 10000 BTC for 2 pizzas?
Well I didn't expect this to be so popular but I can't really afford to keep doing it since I can't generate thousands of coins a day anymore Smiley  Thanks to everyone who bought me pizza already but I'm kind of holding off on doing any more of these for now.

Many people still consider Bitcoin a risky asset and therefore don't include it in their investment portfolios. I recently spoke with someone who told me, "I think Bitcoin is very unreliable, which is why I've never invested in it (I invested in gold, stocks, and bonds)." 🙋

Precisely because many people now doubt Bitcoin's attractiveness as an investment, its price could rise in the future (to $1,000,000 per coin and even higher). It sounds paradoxical, but it's true!

As for Bitcoin at 0.00655, I think buying at that price would have been problematic from a technical standpoint. For example, I didn't have my own computer back then, and I probably wouldn't have been able to figure out how to use the Bitcoin Core software. As for storing Bitcoin on the MtGox cryptocurrency exchange, that was a really bad idea.  Although many did just that and (as a result) lost their coins. I personally know such people (and have met them on our forum).🧖

People ignored Bitcoin 16years ago simply because they never believe in the project and thought it will be this valuable, and today there is still another category of people who thinks it's already too late to invest in Bitcoin, while forgetting the fact that as time goes on, so is it's value likely to keep skyrocketing in value with respect to demand and supply, because just as Bitcoin went from $0.00655 to over $78,500  right now within 16years (i.e  2010 to 2026). It is a clear sign that this Bitcoin can still do far more better in the next 20years to 30years if invested and held on to it long term without selling it due to uncertainty and doubt.

I don't blame people who refused to buy Bitcoin when it was auctioned at such a low price; they didn't understand Bitcoin and weren't even convinced it was going to survive until this time. Now the evidence and records are right there in our faces. Those who still doubt Bitcoin up to this time have themselves to blame in case of any future regrets.
It was not even that we were not convinced Bitcoin would survive.  Going back to the time Bitcoin was 10 Dollars per piece, if you wanted a 30 Dollar subscription you had to sell 3 entire Bitcoins.  It was not like today when you have to sell the ten thousandth part of it to get the same Dollar value of what a whole Bitcoin was worth back then.  This means any Transaction implicitly had a LOT more Bitcoin being moved than today.

Not to mention that although Bitcoin was already successful to many even at a low price, a tag as high as 120 THOUSAND DOLLARS was not only a dream, it was delusion.  Imagine I told you the price of Gold would pass 1,000,000 Dollars per ounce a decade from now.  Even if you were the strongest believer in Gold and held all your Wealth in it, you would still not think that is possible.

-----

But thinking back on prices that I could have bought and held at....oh man, that would give me a neverending headache were I to engage in such flagellation.  Sometimes the little part of me that likes mental torture starts to go there, and I have to reel it back; I don't remember when it was below one cent, but I do remember when it was below $200, and in a relative sense that's just about the same thing for me.

So thanks OP for ripping open some old scabs.  (lol)
Opening up this Topic and reading the first replies, I was not even thinking about it as much as I did after reading your post.  Few things give dread and existential crisis as much as the missed opportunities of purchasing Bitcoin when it was worth nothing in comparison with today.  Screw you, Chymist!

As of 2010, if you’re here and was also giving that bid, you may not have accepted to bid for it for a higher price but maybe a lower price that’s if you even find some interest in it and feels some enthusiasm in you that bitcoin will do better in the future. Not so many people where so convinced that much that bitcoin would actually grow big like this, so many people were so skeptical in making decisions concerning buying large some of bitcoin and wouldn’t worth anything later in the future.

A decade and more has passed and we’ve all seen how bitcoin has grown so rapidly and the price it is now worth. Considering the consistency of this growth, no one would deny the fact that bitcoin won’t reach $1 million. It is just a matter of time before it reaches that price and being consistent will really make it reach that price no matter how long it’s going to take. Bitcoin can never be too expensive because if you don’t buy now, you may likely buy at a more higher price tomorrow.

When Satoshi first generated Bitcoin, people did not understand the importance of Bitcoin. People were afraid to invest in Bitcoin because everyone was ignorant about the importance and significance of Bitcoin. If everyone knew about Bitcoin, everyone would have bought and held Bitcoin. If Laslo honeyecz had known about the current importance and price of Bitcoin, he would not have bought two pieces of pizza with 10,000 Bitcoins. People still do not give much importance to Bitcoin, especially in 2041 when Bitcoin reaches a million dollars, people will still regret the current time. That is, people never value time and do not give importance to Bitcoin and do not invest in Bitcoin when they have time. In fact, it is an instinct of people and people do not give importance to important things at the right time.

I’d like to know, do you still think Bitcoin is too expensive right now considering that many people were willing to bid lower in that old thread? And don't you believe Bitcoin will exceed $1 million? Share your thoughts as well.
You know what's funny here? The nickname of this person is SmokeTooMuch and next to it, I see that this person sells 10K Bitcoin for 50 USD. He is definitely smoking too much to be willing to sell 10K Bitcoin for 50 USD Cheesy

Okay, let's return to the topic. First of all, in the best case, only a couple of hundred people knew about the existence of Bitcoin back in 2010. It had almost zero market cap, zero usage and was an extremely novel thing for that time. How could anyone pay $50 into it? Even in 10K? No one knew the situation would become so serious and not only a million or billion but more than a trillion dollar would be invested into it.

In the past bitcoin was considered a worm coin, there was no price that they did an auction of BTC because no one knew the future so they didn't save it for the long term, after all in 2010 only a few people knew bitcoin, even I didn't know anything at that time.

Yep it's impossible to do stupid things, I think they are now millionaires if they still hold it until now or at least sell it at $50K.
According to Coinmarketcap, the increase in bitcoin was 161071008% many times over and is now more valuable due to limited supply.

If we look at Bitcoin’s current price and compare it to its price in its early days, it’s hard to believe, no one would have guessed that Bitcoin, which was once so cheap, is now worth so much. So there’s no such thing as 'expensive' when looking at Bitcoin’s history, since its long-term trend shows a very strong upward trajectory, and in the coming years, its price may be even higher than it is today. This isn't just about the short term, but rather the long-term outlook, only then will you not consider the price to be expensive at the moment.

We need to remember that Bitcoin's journey was not at $0.00655, but rather the price of Bitcoin started from zero. Although it is basically starting from zero, its uniqueness has basically put it in such a position that its price will seem high to us in the present, but if we look at the past, it will seem low.

In this case I would like to say that as we are currently seeing the price of Bitcoin at 78k and we have already seen its all-time high price at 126k, of course 10 years from now if someone like you opens a topic that 1 Bitcoin was once valued at around only 78k or 126k then it will not be surprising. And I think there will be such discussions 10 years or 20 years from now.

I didn't know about Bitcoin until it got to thousands of dollars, so I don't have much regret for not buying earlier. Seeing how low the price was is an indication that the price could get to $1 million, but nobody knows when. This is also a motivation to everyone that we should keep accumulating regardless of the current price, because Bitcoin has the potential to keep appreciating in the future.
I do not think that you have anything to lose now because you were never aware about Bitcoin when the price was as little as cents. I know that in the next 10 years from now when the price of Bitcoin might have reach 500k per unit, there will be people that will also  regret not buying Bitcoin when the price was below 100k. Regretting about not buying should not be seen as reget because their is opportunity now for people to hold it but because of fear or insufficient money with them, they will rather use the money to do something else.
