Yes, I have felt it before. I lost very well, but I later stopped gambling again after many months of quiting and I was not wasting money on gambling again, but gambling in a responsible way till now.

There are many people that found it difficult to quit gambling, but they could not. That is a very huge sign that those people are addicted to gambling.

The main basis is always optimism and money, so even when it always fails in the long run, gamblers still can't stop gambling, the feeling that this time the bet must be successful or optimistic that we can be like those who win large amounts is true.
Simply put, gambling doesn't fill you up, which is why you should gamble with the money you can afford, because at least that way your gambling will be more responsible.

Another thing is that our luck are different which makes it difficult for you to win big like the few gamblers you saw. I believe majority of gamblers were motivated due to one or two gamblers they saw that win big. I have seen several public display of big wins which turned out to be fake. This is why nobody can motivate or push me to gamble more than I can afford. However, I think another thing that works is stories. People remember those big wins more than their own losses. Let's say they've lost 100 times but they've won big once or they've heard someone else's story about winning, that's what comes to mind.  That's why people think it'll happen to me one day. But in real life no one really understands how much loss is behind that one win, So I think the problem isn't just hope, but what people remember and what they forget is also a big factor.

The main motive behind most people gambling is to make quick money which can change their life completely, they think that it is no problem if they lose money today, tomorrow they will be able to win much more money. This blind belief of theirs brings more danger. Quitting gambling immediately (or suddenly) isn't easy; it takes time to truly stop. The process of becoming an active gambler also takes time, and the intensity of gambling increases over time. So, in my opinion, the way to stop gambling is to first reduce the intensity, then gradually work towards weaning oneself off gambling (quitting completely). Well, that is my take on quitting gambling.

Personally, I once felt like quitting gambling after experiencing a major loss, and at that time, I was still actively gambling, even almost every day. Luckily, I am no longer like that, and after thinking about it, I realized I just simply needed to overcome my bad gambling habits. So, that is how I view gambling now, and I believe the most important thing; is to gamble responsibly, without having to push ourself too hard, let alone forcing ourself to seek luck, that we may not necessarily get.

Lol you really did said it all mate, this gamblers do think that the more one losses money on gambling the more chances of winning and that not how it goes in gambling. Gambling is a risky activity and it mainly rely on luck and one thing we must under Is that gambling isn’t a money pumping activity or quick money activity so let take it for what it is that is fun and entertainment.
 If we shift our way of treating gambling then we will end up losing so much than we could imagine. Fortunately I've never been in this situation when it comes to casino gambling, but I've had other additions in the past and somehow willed up the power to stop them. It's not nice being in the grip of addiction and it can creep in so easily without you noticing. It's often connected with "boredom" and trying to fill a void if time with something, anything. Until you figure out better ways to keep yourself busy and do more productive things, there is a good chance you will stay hooked. Especially when you consider how many psychological tricks that casinos use these days to keep you visiting. It's a hyper competitive market too, meaning that different sites are always trying to draw you in with special offers.

It’s safe to say that most gamblers inevitably experience losses, it’s just that at certain times they’ll stop gambling for a while. Very few can simply quit cold turkey, especially once they’ve entered the addiction phase. Why would I give up something I enjoy? My budget isn't impacted by gambling. I spend more on gas or groceries.I don't limit myself in any way just to place a bet. It's just a fun hobby, or, for example, when I play cards with friends, we spend a pittance to get together and play a little, and we bet very small amounts per game. There should be a limit and common sense in everything; I'm not chasing a life-changing jackpot.

Sometimes I do see this kind of expectations like an ineffective because you could be having a different plan from betting and digger thing is happening to you.
