If Satoshi Nakamoto Returned: Would It Strengthen or Destabilize Bitcoin?

I can't really say for sure what will happen if he returns. But I can take a wild guess that it will strengthen bitcoin and it will not. Two ways, why am I saying this. For us here, it will strengthen bitcoin. For others outside here who hate they are not the ones controlling it will be furious of his arrival.

If satoshi's wallet made a move, it will surely make a significant drop in price. No doubt about that. It will surely create a panic mode that will make everyone want to sell and make the small gains they had before it all turns to zero.

First is all I will say you’re still staying under the fence on what impact his arrival will have on bitcoin. First of all I think the impact will be base on his previous personality because if had been involved in any crime in the past it will be what will be used against bitcoin and will definitely result into negative impact on bitcoin. If he had a clean record then it will be actually another reason for people to trust bitcoin more because even if an invention is great people actually still regard it by who the developer is.

As for Satoshi movement we have all said this if depends the destination that the coins are moved to, if it is to another wallet then it will be assumed for proper back up and nothing like he selling and this will reaffirm investor believes in bitcoin. But if it points to any exchange then it will definitely cause panic in the market.

Sometimes i do feel that many people really do not understand how bitcoin was programmed. Bitcoin was built on decentralized network which means that even Satoshi Nakamoto do not have the power to interfere in any transaction so why will his appearance bring panics? the only thing that will cause panic is when he withdraws his bitcoins from his wallet because since he is the founder, if such activity happens people will begin to fear that it might affect the price of bitcoin thereby it can lead many people do sell their bitcoin too. If Satoshi was to appear today, it will create excitement among bitcoin investors because the one who is behind the idea and success of bitcoin will now be known.

I gave my points based of the fact that no one really knows what will happen. People already have it in mind that bitcoin will fall, others are also of the opinion that bitcoin will rise if he comes out.

Based on the fact that bitcoin was created in such a way that even the founder can't just interfere in the transaction says a lot about it's uniqueness as a decentralised asset. But the fact still remains that if he tries to sell his coins rather than keeping it, panic will occur in the market.

Don't be naive mate. Bitcoin may indeed have gotten all the fuel it needs to reach the moon but don't you know reason people are confidently buying bitcoin and even holding for longer term is because they have that trust and confidence that Bitcoin would never be dumped one day, and the only reason this trust exist is because of it's full decentralization, which every other assets that claims to be decentralized really lacks. The best way to have ensured that Bitcoin was fully decentralized was for satoshi to give up his life for the project, but since he can't just kill himself, he decided to kill the identity Satoshi Nakamoto, which is still quite valid, so even if people don't really know for sure what happened to him, they try to comfort themselves with the assumption that he's already dead, and this assumption is what's keeping that trust and confidence in Bitcoin.
So if eventually ever decides one day not to continue staying dead, and shows his face, then many would definitely lose that confidence and their thoughts about Bitcoin would never remain the same anymore.

Again, The best part of Bitcoin is that feeling of being in charge, so imagine what would happen if the real person who's really in charge steps into the limelight, a lot of people will definitely step out because there won't be any much difference bitcoin Bitcoin and the traditional banking system.
