I think it's high time the government steps in before any more ponzi schemes come to light again. Whether the government likes it or not, it will one day affect them.

I want to take you back to a country i heard of. Albania that happened between 1996 and 1997. It was a pyramid ponzi scheme that caused a national crises. Even the government could not stop it at that peak level. Riots everywhere and it lead to government loosing control to some of the areas. You can read more about it here https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/pq50yn/how_did_albania_actually_fall_into_the_whole/

Is it when until this happens that the government will take control. I am not surprised again. It's Nigeria we are in. Such an annoying government.

Nigerians never learn, if any new Ponzi scheme surface today, they will still participate in it without thinking about their previous losses in Ponzi scheme because of fear of missing out , when the Ponzi scheme starts they will pay some people that participate early then when people start rushing into it, they I'll off their network, this has been their strategy. Yet many Nigerians are blind about it, because of poverty and love for quick money.
I was a bout to say this too. Mnay new ponzis are packaged in a new way, but under the same method of a pyramid scheme and people keep falling for it. I agree that poverty has contributed to it, people are now looking for a way to make money easily and as the people behind ponzi keep the packaging. they will always have victims.
