Do you think COVID made online gambling what it is today?

Covid has done little to make online gambling popular, nor had any major impact on it. During covid, I think people were more busy with how to keep their job and how to work effective from home. If someone think that covid were times when people were dying from boredom, then this person is very wrong. Cheap smart phones and cheap cellular data are what made great influence on online gambling.

Do you think that COVID “helped” online gambling become as popular as it is now. I remember before COVID I was visiting local bookies to place my bets and I went to IRL casinos to play slots and roulette. But since COVID came, I felt most comfortable gambling from my own home and my room.

COVID and, more accurately, "lockdowns" pushed people toward the internet and everything related to it... So yes, that lockdown helped online gambling to become more popular. That would come anyway, but that sped things up.

What impact did COVID had on your gambling experience?

It didn't... I gambled before, during, and after... crypto gambler since 2015... and still surviving. Good luck, people! Stay healthy & happy!

What impact did COVID had on your gambling experience?

Part of, before the pandemic the crypto online gambling were already started and in addition to that, many gamblers were forced to play online and once everything came back to normal, a lot of users get used to it because of the convenience it gave to most players but of course, the traditional physical casinos never left but the covid's quarantine is part of what online gambling site is now, this is just my opinion based on my experience during quarantine.

 Covid or no covid the gambling industry would've thrived, I remembered how people still visit betting shops in my country and in their numbers so if covid didn't happen afterwards it would've still been the same and attention would gradually switch to online gambling since it made gambling more easier.
 One thing it helped the online gambling industry with is letting more people realise that they could easily gamble online without going to the betting shop or casinos but even at that people would've still flooded the online gambling platform just that Covid happened when online gambling became the new trend.

It not only helped online gambling but in general most of online services, including social media, instant messaging and video calling apps, streaming services, etc. Too much free time and little option to spend it outside the home was a big boost for these services.

However, I don't think COVID was decisive – it just sped up adoption tremendously.
