I can't spend that much for a ticket. What am I really watching? Well, I'm also not the type of person who is too eager to watch a game and could spend anything just to get a spot; I'm more of the type who can enjoy the game from just streaming it at home. Absolutely some wealthy folks like to feel really in charge and like to flex their luxurious abilities around so sure they can buy that and  still feel like nothing left their system but for those who can't or who don't want to pay for such they would be more except fifa doesn't want on-site viewers probably due to some reasons unknown but since this is just a joke I don't think fifa would do a thing like this as it would speak bad against them and some people might shift interest from sport betting to other forms of betting like casino games or even other sports that doesn't require such amout for ticket.

I don't think this is the real price for World Cup ticket, it's probably coming from a reseller's price who have bought tons of ticket from FIFA which probably priced around $10k only, and turn into a million price once they start selling into the people.

You're right, this only proves that only rich people are capable to buy this because they won't mind the price at all. While leaving the average and poor class settled watching from their individual homes so they can still stay updated what's happening in World Cup 2026.

I don't believe this story is true, because no one in their right mind would buy football tickets for that much money. After all, people with millions of dollars are always very meticulous with their money. And there are no rabid football fans among them who would be willing to simply save up a lifetime's worth (or inherit it) and then spend it all on a football match. Such fools simply don't exist. And if someone were reselling such tickets, they could, of course, theoretically make a lot of money, but it seems to me that this is a huge markup, and no one would agree to such a disadvantageous offer.

Whether this price is a joke or not, but I'm sure it's a joke, but I won't be spending that outrageous amount just to witness the events in live. Money is so much precious these days that I can't afford to spend it for the sake of World Cup alone, but I'd be more willing to risk it and add more bitcoin into my portfolio.

I don't think we should take TikTok news seriously. It's designed to attract people more than it's real, so let's take it with a grain of salt. A football ticket at that price wouldn't surprise me if some football fan paid it, especially if they have money to burn. You'd be surprised at how much money rich people often spend on luxuries, hiring artists for private events, so that amount might seem like a lot, but I still think it falls short of other extravagances that wealthy people have indulged in before.

TikTok to me seems to be for content creations where people feel entertaining while the content creators makes money out of their followers and viewers. It's purely a business or entertainment place and not a reliable platform to get realistic updates.
In the aspect of the ticket worth; we shouldn't be surprised to see the stadium filled up because there're really people who've the money to spend in cases like this just to flaunt.

I can't see the source of the reference the OP included. maybe, it is referring to tickets listed on the Marketplace, right? I see that FIFA website has a marketplace for resell tickets.

Well, I think those ticket prices are out of reach and too unreasonable for what they are. Personally, I wouldn't buy it (even if, I could afford it). Maybe, FIFA criticized for misuse of the ticket reselling system. Because, it is allowed to list prices as one pleases. Cmiiw.

By the way, I only found news about tickets being sold for around $2.3 million, even then that alone has become already controversial.

The world cup has changed with prices so high a family of 4 to 5 with reasonable incomes are unable to afford tickets. The world cup used to belong to fans from all status of society. Fans would stand together in stadium terraces singing the same anthems and chants. Fans were fans because they loved their team without worrying about the cash in their pockets or bank. Low earners have been priced out of tickets because rich people will pay the going rate.

It would be indeed crazy to have someone buy World Cup ticket for that amount. That would be just 90minutes of game play but of course, those who are able to pay that much for a ticket isn’t doing that for just the World Cup match but, a chance to meet and share contacts because, you certainly aren’t seating in the wrong crowd. You would be with people you share the same values with and a chance to connect on a different level.
Unfortunately, I am not of that level yet and wouldn’t be doing that.
