33 Gamma LLC is now accepting Bitcoin for NES and SNES games. I'm slowly adding more titles to our collection. You can see our current inventory and prices here.

And if you have any NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, or Gameboy cartridges you'd like to get rid of, we are buying them with Bitcoin at 50% off Price Charting.

My company is now accepting Bitcoin for NES and SNES games.
I couldn't help but notice the required steps before a potential buyer could pay with their bitcoin, so I'm going to list two known payment processors that I'm sure will come in handy:
  • BTCPay Server [self-hosted processor that gives you full control, but it's somewhat complex]
  • Blockonomics [you'll have less control, but it's a lot easier to set up]

Best of luck Smiley
/ Bookmarked.

Thanks SFR.

I looked into BTC Pay Server, and like you said it seemed very complex.

I wanted to go with a MVP setup for the shop, hence the manual approach. That and most of our current inventory are one offs. We may get more copies of the same game in the future, but it's a very small shop at the moment, so automation seemed like a major hurdle for little gain.

First I've heard of Blockonomics. I don't want middle men though, that was the whole appeal of going with a BTC native store.

Landing here by searching Blockonomics mentions. Yes, we are technically a middle men. However, we don't hold any custody of funds and you can easily implement the checkout using our API. If you need any help feel free to comment here / DM me

Thanks for the suggestion, btc_enigma.

Right now what would be really helpful is some way to help guests convert fiat into bitcoin so they can buy our goods. I'm trying to cater to the Bitcoin community, but it would be nice if your average Joe could complete the checkout process. I know a lot of people must be getting stuck when they see BTC is the only payment option.

I decided we should only take BTC because of the growing problem of chargeback fraud. That and I personally dislike the Federal Reserve System, and hope Bitcoin can help end it.

I still have my NES collection and have always wanted to own Super Mario Bros 3. I see you have it for sale but I am always hesitant to pay up front using new vendors. If you’d like to make a deal, feel free to reach out to me in PM. I think we could make it happen.

I sent you a PM.

Also, I have more NES games that are not listed yet, which I could clean up and sell to you.

These include:

1942
1943
Dr. Mario;
Duck Hunt;
Excite Bike;
Gyromite;
The Rocketeer;
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles;
Mario Bros / Duck Hunt;
Karate Champ;
NES Play Action Football;
Tag Team Wrestling;
Wheel Of Fortune: Family Edition;
Jeopardy;
Robo Cop;
Rush'n Attack;
Tetris.
and Willow;

Since you'd be our first customer to pay in Bitcoin (I've been doing local sales in cash), I'll even throw in free shipping if you're in the U.S. . All I ask in return is that you leave an honest testimonial about your experience with us in a reply to this thread within a week of getting your games.

Right now what would be really helpful is some way to help guests convert fiat into bitcoin so they can buy our goods.
Some payment processors offer fiat-to-crypto on-ramp solutions, but considering that you have to rely on a middleman, it goes against things you stand for.
- NOWPayments is one of them and despite having a lot of good reviews on Trustpilot, I prefer not to vouch (please DYOR).

You can take help of AI (codex chatgpt or claude) and generate an plugin or code for your site that can show price in Bitcoin along with its fiat value.

Thanks for the info guys.

We do have some code that looks up yesterday's BTC closing price in USD, and uses that as the basis to give the daily game's price in BTC. We also have the prices coded in USD on the backend. Do you think we should show the USD price alongside the BTC one-- perhaps saying "About $x" to account for intra-day drift?

I finally bit the bullet and lowered our prices, they are now very close to Price Charting.

I also got rid of the grading system. Now all games are just games, with an option to choose a hand picked copy if we have more than one available. Should simplify inventory some.

Also, if anyone here wants to be our first customer to use Bitcoin, the free shipping to domestic U.S. customers is still on offer. All you gotta do is leave an honest review in this thread after you receive your game(s).

I remembered this thread and was looking for some NES games so I checked out the inventory to see what was being offered...  Did anyone ever buy any of these off the site?

I managed to buy Defender of the Crown on a different site, which I didn't realize was even an NES game (I used to play it on Commodore 64), and am currently in the market for Bubble Bobble.

I should probably just buy one of those retro NES systems so I can play these on the big screen...  Are those still a thing?
